“Nice Hotel/Bar and GREAT food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

I have stayed here many times and can't figure out how they can have such GREAT food for a small operation. The reason that I first stayed there was because I LOVE the Coffee Shop across the street because the food is good and cheap (local place). The Arizona food was so good that I didn't go to the Coffee Shop much. The Divemaster Mark is fantastic, the front desk Gearchann is WONDERFUL, and I realize this is a special place, close to the bars and well worth the money. The only way that I might have a better experience would be if I bought my own beachfront villa and kept a jet ski there..

This was my second stay at Arizona. The only room available for me was the basement room, more exspensive then a standard room, but was large with couch.problem was no windows,so the room had little air circulation and was musty odour and close to some staff area,as I could here lots of noise. After 2 nights I extended for a night and got a much better(though smaller) room on the second floor. The food was great as usual and staff were friendly, helpful.Overall good value for money and will be making a return visit.

We found the Arizona had been altered to some degree.
We like the place but, it's not for all, the rooms are adequate for a stay (as you don't live in them all the time) food was good and the bar was great now Gavin has re modelled it.

People looking for 5 star accommodation need to look else where, the Arizona is for the budget conscious holiday person and just a lay back place.
The floating bar is great and clean... Will be back next year.

Room Tip: All the same apart for the king suite

Rooms are good value and the food is great. Good hearty food icey cold beer fine company!

There is no real need to leave the resort you've got a bar at the front restaurant in the middle with a pool and a floating bar on the water.

The staff are first rate and you will get any help you need if you don't have a good time it'll be your own fault

I am always hesitant to post a very positive review for one simple reason: It makes it more difficult for me to get reservations!! By saying that the hotel is awesome, I fear that all the readers will want to stay there and it will be difficult for ME to get MY reservations. However, this is an awesome place and I loved ever minute of it. I know that Reisender91 gave this one point but, come on now....this is the Philippines. The hotel is clean, the staff wonderful and the food terrific. The only reason I don't give 5 "circles" is because of the cost of the jet skis. But, the hotel probably has no control of what those vendors charge anyway. Love the place and do not "avoid" it....Yes, they could have trash bins at the beach, but, come on now Reisender91, take a little personal responsibility!!!

Room Tip: All the rooms I have stayed in are clean and the a/c worked well. The televisions could be updated...

Thanks for the feedback.

The Jet skis are operated by a 3rd party, but the rates when compared to other local businesses are competitive.

Your comments about the televisions have been addressed. On May 1 we made a bulk purchase of 32" LCD and LED televisions. All the rooms except the Economy rooms now have flat screen televisions!!

The people who work here as just amazing. They will give you information even if it is sending you to their competitors. I asked at the front desk where I could exchane money, even though they have money exchange services, the front desk sent me accross the street where the rates were more favorable.

Service is amazing, Gercheann at the front desk was extremely helpful even before I arrived. She hlep me book the room and gave me helpful information on how to get to the hotel. She also help me book a cheaper shuttle back to the airport. Because I was running late, she made sure the driver dropped me off first at the airport so I did't miss my flight.

The food at the premise is also quite good, and it is 24 hours. Staff are welcoming and kind.

Very pleasant restaurant with nice views of the bay and with a barrier to keep out the interminable sellers of fake watches and coral. Food is in good portions, nicely presented and reasonably priced. There is a sports bar inside but I didn't spend much time there. A good place to hang out. I stayed in the rooms a couple of times and they were quite and pleasant.
