This was a fabulous place to enjoy a holiday away from home! It was very peaceful and well maintained and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, and no request was too much to ask. We always felt safe, and slept well. This is a perfect location, and so close to the beautiful Indian Ocean, we took many evening walks and enjoyed many nice restaurants and seaside sunset dinners. The quaint, private pool was very refreshing, and enjoyed every day, and at night, the lights transform it into a fairytale setting. This villa was very nice, clean, and comfortable. It is a little piece of paradise in a very nice part of Bali!
It was easy to arrange for a driver (and very reasonable) and we were fortunate enough to have a knowledgeable who explained many of the sights and Balinese customs, which was very helpful.
If you have never visited Bali, it is a nice surprise, as the Balinese people are very friendly, helpful, honest, and you become their ‘friends’ very easily. From the moment that we arrived (with the much appreciated VIP clearance at the airport) we were taken care of by an excellent, attentive and hardworking staff who obviously took pleasure in serving us, and it was so much fun getting to know them. On our last day, they thanked us for being so warm and friendly! They truly make you feel at home.
We had a wonderful vacation and staying at Villa Sedap Malam was one of the highlights! Bali’s culture is rich and unique. The customs and traditions and our stay has left us amazed and filled with memories that will be cherished for many years to come.
