“Tranquil Oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Our first visit to Bali, with our 2 girls aged 12 and 7, and we chose Le Jardin after much research and we were not disappointed. The villas provide a beautiful tranquil oasis only a short stroll, down a lane, from the busy heart of Seminyak or the beach. The staff are absolutely wonderful and provided assistance with everything we asked from booking a Bali Safari trip to Scooter hire. We booked a package which included breakfast which was served daily in your villa, at a time of your choosing, and was absolutely wonderful. Our villa had 2 bedrooms with an open plan lounge next to the pool. The bedrooms are huge and the outside bathrooms are great as was the day bed on the 2nd floor. The staff come and spray for mozzies each night, plus light coils, and they were not as much of a problem as I had expected, the odd bite each night was not an issue. We had room service on a couple of nights after long days and the menu is great and provides a good cross section. They also provide free bottled water, replenished every day, in the kitchen and the bedrooms. When we did travel out the free shuttle service is a great help and the drivers will drop you off anywhere in the Seminyak area and will also pick you up again, although the taxis are so cheap it's not an issue jumping in one. The villa was in good condition, the odd thing didn't work (such as the pool light), but if you are bothered about little stuff like that then you are too precious to travel to Bali which is all about the wonderful people and chilled out speed of life!. I've been lucky enough to travel to a few tropical islands in my life including some in the Caribbean and Bali was an absolute delight and I felt very safe there with my young girls more so than I would in other locations. Yes some of the local shop keepers will try and entice you into their shops, or hawkers will try and sell you stuff on the beach, but tourism is how they survive and none were overly pushy and after a polite 'no thanks' or ' tidak terima kasih' (think that's right) they left you alone. The only downside was that 8 nights was not enough and I am now back in cold wintery Melbourne writing this and wishing I was back by my pool drinking an ice cold Bintang!!! Hopefully one day we will return :)

This was my 3rd visit to Bali. I stayed here for a week in a 2 bed villa with my parents and my husband. We really enjoyed it and found the villa to be in good condition, slightly old fashioned decor and facilities, but generally good, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The bedrooms were upstairs and downstairs which was great as it meant you weren't constantly bumping into eachother in the living room, which is the central area of the villa.

Our little swimming pool was cleaned every evening and was a good size. Plus it was quite fun to jump in from the living room straight into the pool! Only criticism was that there wasn't an area to walk around the pool, and there were only 2 sunloungers for a villa that sleeps up to 5 people which seemed odd. There is no other sunbathing space either, so we had to use the sunbeds in shifts.

My mother kept asking them for water (which was free) and after 2 days of constantly bringing bottles to the villa - they installed a water cooler in the living room! Brilliant! It was touches like this that set this place apart for me. Very thoughtful and responsive staff.

The food was totally decent (your food is brought to the villa on big trays), no gastronomic affair, but we ate out for most meals and just had breakfast and snacks during the afternoons/early evening. It's a great location to explore Seminyak so I would recommend getting out in the evenings when you can.

It is about a 7-10 minute walk from the beach. There is no private area for Le Jardin guests at the beach, but for a few rupiah you can have your sun beds, a couple of cans of tiger beer and a nice big umbrella to laze underneath. The water is great, very clean when we were there although I've heard different reports from some friends about the beaches in Seminyak.

I would definitely go back here again with family or friends.

We spent a wonderfully relaxing week in July at Le Jardin Villas & would certainly recommend the villas. The staff were so helpful & attentive, the drivers were excellent, & the massages were great. We really loved the privacy of having our own pool, which was a terrific size. And we loved the open air bathroom !!

We spent 2 nights in this place after 2 nights elsewhere in Seminyak. Maybe we had high expectations before our check-in, due to to all the raving reviews of the resort. However we were a little underwhelmed when we arrived, the villa was showing signs of aging.

Location:
On the map, Le Jardin seems to be in a place really near the beach. However we were a little surprised when the cab had to make many turns in the small roads and it was tucked in a tiny corner. It was a hassle to walk out but thankfully there was free shuttle service to bring us out anytime.

Check-in:
Check in was smooth, and we were given a foot wash before entering our villa.

Villa:
The photos looked nicer than the actual villa. And we were treating the mosquitoes with our blood throughout our stay. Even though they would light up the mosquito coils there were still quite a fair bit of mosquitoes. There were cockroaches running around. We were given a basket of welcome fruits but we didn't consume any because they looked like they have been there for a week old. We also found banana peels lying in the corner of the villa, so I would say the place wasn't cleaned properly before the check in. I have to admit the place is huge though, even though we booked a one-bedroom villa it was actually a 2 storey villa, with 2 additional single beds upstairs.

Food:
Breakfast was served daily in the villa, unfortunately they were always kinda cold when it arrives.

Private pool:
We liked the private pool in the villa, only thing was that it is very cold cos it hardly gets the sun.

Service:
Service was good and people were friendly and accommodating to us throughout the stay.

My newlywed wife and I decided to stay at Le Jardin for our honeymoon, and we are so happy to have spent our 9 nights here! The great experience started at our arrival, where Yessi our butler and her team greeted us with a nice cool drink and warm smiles. When we got to our our villa, we couldn't believe how nice our 2 storey villa was. Very rarely do the photos you see online live up to expectations in real life, but our villa was exactly as portrayed. The private pool was beautiful, as was the rest of the villa - spacious living area, beautiful bedroom, and great outdoor bathroom. The service was beyond exceptional. All of the staff that we came into contact with were so friendly, and it was great that the all greeted us by our names. Our breakfast arrived on time everyday as was delicious. They also have a shuttle service that takes you to the surrounding area, free of charge. We came back each evening to a nice and clean villa. It was very quiet in our villa, and we were in one of the villas closer to the main road. Overall, our experience was wonderful and I highly recommend Le Jardin!

We stayed in one of the two bedroom villas which is two storey, one room upstairs and the master downstairs which opened on to the private pool. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which are open air but still under roof line.

We had our two children (4 and 1) with us, we were a little concerned at first as the living area is open air and wraps the pool and we had to watch the little one but our 4yo can swim and basically spent every waking moment in the pool she is quite the fish.

The staff have been outstanding and willing to help whatever the request may be. We also discovered after a hot sweaty walk to Seminyak Sq. (5-10min each way) the staff let us know that they offer a free shuttle service within the Seminyak-Legian area. We must have looked quite hot and bothered. The drivers were happy to take us to the shops or restaurants or even just pop to the supermarket for some more Bintang.

For a relaxing getaway we can highly recommend Le Jardin.

My wife and I spend the June long weekend in Bali and chose Le Jardin Villas from previous reviews on Tripadvisor, and we're glad we did!

We had villa 202 and although positioned directly across from reception it is very private and quiet. The villa itself is 2 story with a bedroom upstairs with it's own bathroom and sunbed, and the master bedroom downstairs fronting onto the huge pool. The main living area is open to pool and is very tranquil with the music playing whilst you lounge around the pool.

Le Jardin is well positioned with it being a couple of minutes walk to the beach in one direction or a few minutes walk to many shops and restaurants.

The only thing better than the villa itself are the staff! They are fantastic, always smiling and never anything a problem. From the pickup from the airport, the front desk staff, to the breakfast delivery in the morning, through the included afternoon tea served in your villa from 3pm, to the turndown service in the evening. All the staff were very professional and happy to help with any request.

Highly recommended and will be looking forward to going back soon!
