“Good Contemporary Hotel on the Beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

We spent three nights in the Ocean suite number 410 and were very satisfied. The suite is a good size, comprising of a separate wardrobe room where one can leave suitcases, large bathroom with a walk in shower with both good hand shower and a large over-the-head shower and a bathtub, living room/bedroom with excellent king size bed and a terasse overlooking the pool, lawn with sun beds and the beach, with a sun bed and jacuzzi tub. Very good towels, large TV, selection of DVDs. Excellent breakfasts included. Very good service and everything we had for lunch was freshly made and very tasty. I noticed a joga morning class. The hotel is opposite Gado Gado restaurant we intend to sample tonight. The beach was clean during our stay, ocean good for surfing but not swimming ( red flag on all three days due to strong winds). We've enjoyed our stay and might return in future.

Room Tip: Our Ocean suite no 410 on the second floor was very good.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Anantara as part of our honeymoon. We stayed in one of the Ocean suites which had the most fantastic view, particularly watching the sunset over the ocean. The staff are very friendly and always remember you which makes the experience all the more special. We took part in an Offering and also the Thai cooking class which is a must! We got to explore the market and then go into the hotel kitchen to cook 4 courses which we then got to eat whilst watching the sunset. The staff who looked after us were fantastic. All in all, a great hotel - clean, spacious, friendly, great food and a beautiful view.

My husband and I recently spent 11 days in Bali and whilst we didn't stay at the Anantara, we visited several times. The location of the resort is excellent and the restaurant/pool/lounge area is fantastic, all looking out to the beach. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food and service was fabulous! If you spend, it think it equated to about AUD$50 they provide you with access to their lounges/day beds and pool area, including towels and service. It is an awesome place to eat and spend a lazy afternoon. We were also given a tour of the resort and it was amazing. Whilst I'm not generally a fan of the modern resorts in Bali, this one has a nice feel to it and the rooms were very tastefully decorated. If the price was right, I would definitely consider staying here in the future, otherwise I will opt for lunch and an afternoon of their wonderful hospitality.

Room Tip: Did not stay at the hotel but the rooms looked exceptionally comfortable and the resort had a very r...

Maybe ive been visiting too many Caribeen Resorts so far to find this in kind of different legue and setting. But they all same in Bli, some good some bad. i knojw for sure that i would only go for vill option next time. we have spent 3 night in Ubud villa and would not mind that privacy to continue:) I just can tell it is one of the best options what i have seen around. Not huge fan of black sand which gets extremely hot during the day! Hotel could have his private beach . Rooms are fab, bose sound system rules. Small pool but never full, hotel itself does not feel too crowded which is good!
Plenty of options to eat out. Prices in SOS supper club upstairs are double than those around the hotel. Breakfast is a treat.
Overall it is a nice stay as part of the few week holiday in Indonesia.

My Husband and I got married at the Anantara resort, Seminyak on Septemeber 24, 2012.

We honestly could have asked for a more dreamy amazing and perfectly organised wedding.

The wedding planner “Angel” is actually an angel. Everything went to plan from the start of the day till the next day when we left the resort.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day/night. The staff at the Anantara went above and beyond to meet our needs and we can’t thank them enough.

We had our ceremony on the decking in front of the resort and the reception at the SOS Supper club upstairs the resort.

We chose the canapé style menu & the food served was absolutely beautiful!

We had fire dancers and the performance was brilliant. The DJ also worked his magic and had everyone up and dancing as soon as the reception began.

We stayed in a pool access suite on the wedding night which was just lovely. It was massive which was great as my 4 bridesmaids, mother of the Bride and groom and myself got ready there which was great. Angel also allowed us to come 2 hours before check in time to allow enough time for our hair and make up to be done and also my husband and I didn’t have to check out till 2pm the following day. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious and a great variety on the menu.

Our wedding guests have all mentioned to us that our wedding was the best wedding they have attend and cant believe we found such an amazing venue!

I must also mention the Sunsets from the SOS Supper club.. AMAZING!

Again Thank you so much to Angel and all of the staff at the Anantara, thank you for making our day, a day we will remember for the rest of our lives.

I would also like to recommend:

My husband and I recently spent a week at the beautiful Anantara Seminyak. This is our second stay at this hotel and we loved every minute of it. I instantly felt relaxed the minute we walked into the reception area and was greeted by the concierge in a warm and welcoming manner. Check-in was smooth and quick and we were upstairs in no time to our ocean view suite on the first floor. The facilities and room set up are fantastic - the bed is huge! A spa in the large bathroom and outside on the balcony, a lovely open area for the bed, TV and sitting area as well as a separate cloak room with large wardrobes, safe etc. The view of the ocean from our room was amazing. We loved receiving the little gifts from management in the evening left on our bed - sometimes chocolates, cookies and on the last day, two beautiful sarongs - all left with a little note. The breakfasts, pool side meals and dinners were delicious. The staff are always courteous and friendly and really made us feel welcome the whole time we were there. The hotel is in a great location - on the beach and close to shops. We won't stay anywhere else in Bali - couldn't recommend it highly enough.
