Alam Warna villas and apartments are tucked down a quiet laneway, three minutes walk from the Seminyak Beach. The staff were endlessly helpful, always smiling, and making our holiday such a memorable one. We stayed in both a villa and an apartment, and they were both beautifully furnished and well kept by the staff. The private swimming pool and spa in the villa was much used. The drivers who took us on day trips to Ubud, Candi Dasa, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran Bay and the Kecak dancers at Uluwatu negotiated the traffic with great skill.
I recommend Alam Warna to anyone who wants to stay in Seminyak with peace and quiet, luxury and service where they stay, and yet have the beach, the restaurants and all the shops within 5 minutes walk.

My wife and I were looking to stay somewhere slightly less hectic than Kuta on our last trip to Bali in September. We had visited beautiful Bali on many occasions in the past and had decided to stay somewhere different, although we were not sure exactly where. Friends had recommended Alam Warna Villas in Seminyak, having stayed there for a week or so earlier in the year and rated their experience highly. My wife and I were met at the airport by Nourman in a spotlessly clean vehicle and transported to Seminyak in airconditioned comfort - including chilled bottled water. I must say that the initial entrance to the Villas behind the Seminyak Square Shopping Centre was less than attractive, but once you rounded the corner and approached the main entrance to Alam Warna, the serenity and splendour of the facility was obvious. The staff were all lovely and courteous and thoroughly professional. The Villa was beyond our wildest imagination - large entry doors, total seclusion, beautiful crystal clear lap pool, timber decking, small lawn area, day bed, jacuzzi, large open plan living area on the bottom level, cascading water feature with its own fish pond on the rear wall of the lower level, upstairs master suite with four poster king bed and a bathroom larger than any I have seen in a resort previously. At night the lighting design within the villa enhanced the surrounds and made the outdoor area in particular, all the more spectacular. The resort provides 24 hour security as well as easy access to the beach and other attractions including restaurants, bars and shopping. It really was a most relaxing, stress free holiday and we are making plans to take the familty there in the future to stay in one of their multi bedroom villas.

Room Tip: The stairs leading to the upstairs bedroom and balcony may be a challenge for the elderly or people...

We stayed 6 nights at Alam Warna on our honeymoon: and we loved every moment. The Villas are amazing - photo's on their website doesn't do it justice. High celings, tasteful, colour coordinated furnishings - and SO spacious. It is quiet and tucked away from busy streets: but literally a 3 minute walk to Seminyak Square, great coffee, and plenty of restaurants and boutiques. The customer service was second to none - the absolute epidome of generous, genuine, heartfelt Balinese hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble - and was always done 'from the heart'. To give you an idea: It happened to be my birthday during our stay: and I answered the doorbell to 12-15 staff (possibly all that were working that day) singing me Happy Birthday and a chocolate cake and candle: each one shook my hand and wished me a happy birthday after serinating me. I thought my husband must have organised this - but no - this was done on their own accord. We were not generous tippers by any stretch - so we weren't getting special treatment because of any extra money incentive. They work together like a loving family - and made us feel like we were a very special part of that. We started and ended every day with their contagious smiles and happiness. I cannot recommend Alam Warna enough - we will be back to stay there again.

This was our first trip to Bali and we were advised by friends to stay at a villa. This turned out to be great advice for when we went to Ubud, but if we had to redo things we would definitely choose to stay in a hotel over a villa in Seminyak. It seemed pretty silly to walk a couple blocks to the beach, when we could stay on the beach for the same price. That being said, this villa was wonderful. The one-bedroom villa we stayed in looked pretty much exactly as it did in the picture. The staff was incredibly friendly and for just a little extra charge they took us on a private tour to Uluwatu temple for a great traditional dance performance and then to Jimbaran beach for an amazing seafood dinner. Every morning they brought breakfast to our room, with brewed coffee and freshly squeezed juice. The food was pretty good, with a wide selection of options, but it wasn't anything to write home about. For those unfamiliar with Bali, Seminyak has a really nice row of restaurants on what's nicknamed "Eat Street." So, it has some nice touristy options, while at the same time having a super empty beach area. It's really amazing how much quieter it is than other parts. You literally take a five minute walk up the beach to Kuta, and you immediately get a smellier beach (water run off), with tons of tourists, college aged surfers, and harassing street vendors. I thoroughly enjoyed Seminyak! And Alam Warna was a very sweet experience.

Some of us girls decided to take a holiday to Bali for some time away from the men and kids.We arrived at Alam Warna (after being met at the airport by Putu) to a beautiful 2 bedroom Villa. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room for us all. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were all taken to Ubud for a day out, Tanah Lot for a sunset and to Jimbaran bay for sunset and dinner (all for a small cost). The cost of the Villa was less than $100 a night between the 5 of us (Exceptionally cheap in comparison to some other hotels and Villas) plus we had our own Pool.... The Villa was situated within walking distance to "eat street" and shops. Ultimos, La Luciola, Potato Head and Ku De Ta were all close by. There was a building site next to our Villa but we were not bothered by it at all. The girls couldn't believe how great the Villa was and we are all getting together in1 month for a "reunion" to discuss another trip to Alam Warna next year.

the facilities, staff and service at alam warna exceeded my expectations. the breakfast prepared every morning was superb. the location couldn't be better. we were able to walk to ku de ta, the legian, the shopping district and much more. the pool, wifi, tv, lounge chairs and deck fit that villa feel. loved it.

We stayed at the 3-bedroom villa recently. The layout was unique (master bedroom in a separate building, one bedroom with semi en-suite bathroom, and the 3rd upstairs bedroom's bathroom is actually downstairs) so probably not the best floor plan for family with small children but worked fine for adults.

The staff was very friendly and helped us with hotel and spa reservations via email communication. They even let us check out late so we wouldn't have to wander the streets before our 4PM flight. And...free airport shuttle!

The villa is located close to the "eat street"...about 5-10 min walk to lots of restaurants. The Seminyak Square is nearby but there's not much to it. In terms of shopping, better options are near Jari Menari in Seminyak so taking a short taxi ride or asking for villa shuttle would be recommended.
