“Lovely place to chill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Our family rented a 4-room villa for a week and it was terrific.

The rooms are great, the food in the restuarant is very good too. The pool is fabulous, impeccably maintained, lots of fresh towels and rooms serviced, dishes done etc every day. Every room has a TV and DVD player, except strangely the main lounge area but maybe that's a deliberate thing to get everyone talking!

The pool pavillion is terrific, the addition of a fan in there means you can stay out all day!

Only (minor) downsides were they're pretty keen to not let you self-cater, even though they say fully equipped kitchen, had to request knives, enough glasses for the number of guests etc. Also we had trouble getting onto them to arrange an airport transfer, though now we've been there we wouldn't bother and would just get a taxi.

Location-wise, guess it depends why you're there and how much you want to go in and out of town, it's kind of a longish hot walk but not very far in a cab and there are so many of them if you get sick of walking just get one off the street to take you back! It's not right on the beach but the beach isn't totally that great we didn't think anyway in Seminyak and you have a massive pool of your own so that's more than enough!

Staff all lovely, lots of smiles as you walk past.

We'd be really happy to go back.

Room Tip: We only saw the four-bedroom villa which was more than big enough for 8 adults and three kids... we...

Stayed here in October with a group of 4 friends and we thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was AMAZING. Both bedrooms were housed in their own seperate villa/hut with huge bathrooms. Beautiful outdoor/garden area with private pool which was all beautifully maintained. Huge living area with large kitchen and dining area. Breakfasts at the restaurant were delicious - especially Indonesian breakfast. Had breakfast delivered to the room one morning as well which was great. Villa was thoroughly cleaned daily by a team of staff. Grounds are well maintained. Spa was AMAZING. Did not use the main pool as there was no need as we had our own. Location was great - just a short walk to bars, beach clubs, restaurants and Seminyak Square. Would definitely come back.

we stayed here with couple friends and rent 3 bed rooms villa. location wise is close to high spot on seminyak area luke hu'u bar, la luciola and potato head. despite this villa not really facing the beach but for us this is very vomfy place to chill and relax. the 3 bed rioms has big bed ( kingsize) and own bathup . the pool also quite big to chill ourselves. Booking prices usualybincluding breakfast . Breakfast can be served in villa or we could just walk some step to reataurant ( next to lobby). i would for sure recommend this place to who want to enjoy bali in diferences way.

Very well located in the seminayak area but away from the hustle bustle. Only problem is that it is inside a lane so one has to take a cab to come till the main road, as its a long nd hot walk. Lots of vegetarian options in food and excellent breakfast and pasta nd pizza. Cant say enough about their staff and their hospitality. Very very good. Always smiling. We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa with a lovely private pool and the kids really enjoyed. Rooms were v good with 2 rooms with big bath tubs and outdoor rain showers. Huge dining living and kitchen area. Very comfortable and fully serviced. Only problem was that they couldnot provide microwave in the kitchenette, which was absurd cause its a necessity. Otherwise very good stay.

The villa is located in Seminyak area, Bali. About 300 meter off the main road, you will find this sanctuary of private villas. Each villa has at least 2 bedrooms up to 5 bedrooms. Each villa comes with its own private swimming pool, and a separate living room with kitchen. The breakfast is quite nice since we can pick our own choice from the menu, plus they provide a buffet table for standard breakfast like bread , butter, and jam. Milk , various cereals and juices are also available.

You can walk abot 500 meters to reach the Seminyak beach, where they sometimes have a traditional Balinese dance show by the beach. If you are a shopohollic, you can take a taxi to Seminyak Square which is just a 5 minute drive , or you might as well walk for about half an hour time. The weather in December is going to be very hot due to summer in Australia; on the other hand, May or June will be a nice time to go there if you prefer a cooling weather. But, don't worry so much since the sun will always be there.

If you like to share the pool with some other guests, they also provide a common swimming pool just across the breakfast resto area.

The room is very well maintained, and you really feel like you are in Bali or resort island. The bath room floor are mostly marble, but in the shower area they put a big flat black stone with a huge shower head from the top.
There you can have a shower feeling like in the rain.

To get to your room, they also provide buggy to fetch you to and from the lobby, or you can also just walk.
The food is rather pricey (expensive), therefore it is wise if we can get the villa which includes the breakfast.

I will recommend you buy your own drinks from a small retailers outside and put them in the fridge.

Room Tip: Some 2 bedroom villa has a carport so it is easy for you to access to your car rather than having to...

Dear frankykoo

Thank you for staying with us at Sentosa Seminyak, and for this detailed review.

We have received and taken into consideration feedback with regard to having drinks and snacks available close by. From this feedback this, we recently introduced 'The Deli' - a pre-order menu of light bites and beverages that are priced very competitively.Simply place the order prior to your arrival or at check-in, and we stock up your pantry and your villa refrigerator to your liking. Something for you to indulge when you visit next time.

I looking forward to welcoming you back.

Kind regards,
Sashi

We stayed in the 5 bedroom presidential suite. These villas are really good if you want total privacy. However you may as well stay at home around your pool as stay here. There are loads of villas on this property so depending on which villa you are in you may have a rather long walk to get to the main building where the restaurants and main pool are. The restaurant is where you have breakfast and the main pool is where they have Happy Hour. If you want to get to the shopping areas then you have to walk a fair distance to the main road and then on the the shops. So don't stay here if you don't want to be easily accessible to these things. Apart from that the rooms and staff were very good and breakfast is fantastic!

Room Tip: Try and get a villa located as close to the main building as possible.

Dear Andrea64

Thanks for staying with us at Sentosa Seminyak. Good to hear that you enjoyed our villas and the breakfast!

The resort is spread over 4 hectares and the most of our 5-bedrooms villas are a little more private, located deeper in the resort . We do however offer pick ups/drop offs to and from every villa to the main lobby. Taxis are also readily available from the lobby to the shopping and dining belt of Seminyak, just 5 minutes away.

Looking our for some refreshing changes when you visit next, and I hope to welcome you back.

Kind regards,
Sashi

We stayed in these villas last year and had a good time. Its a very big place and while its private it feels big. Its also sort of in the middle of not too much but walking distance to most things. The staff were nice and accommodating and the villa was a bit tired but still very comfie and enjoyable. Breakfast at the hotel was included but there was not too much variety but still a good start. It just didnt "wow" me and it was not incredible and was not at all personal. We stayed at another villa the week before and that was special. In a different area of bali and much roomier and more personal and private.

i think i have been a bit ruined by living in asia as i re-read this.
