“What a mansion”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2011

We stayed in the villa with the private pool and what a room. As we entered we thought holy cow is this all ours. Two huge bedrooms with king beds, dining table in the open space between both, an undercover bar and stove. A lounge setting and a lovely outside private pool, all for under $200au a night.
Mossies were a bit friendly, but the open space and privacy were FANTASTIC and a great way to finish a holiday -(Been to Lombok earlier).
A 5 mins walk to Potato Bar and lots of restaurants.
Breakfast in restaurant was a bit average, but dinner was good and cheap. If you want next to the beach and in the hustle of Bali, then this is not the place but if you want a private escape then book the villa with the Private Pool. (There is only one)
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

The pool is quite a distance from the so called 'Private Villas'
The villas are NOT private! I repeat NOT private! Villas face a two storied building with an audience. You cannot sun bathe in the nude if you wanted to. The photos are of one building facing the pool, which is away from the villas.
Room service is great....you can wait till hell freezes over. The attitude is they are doing you a favor for the price.
Check the bathroom when you check in....flush doesn't work! Bedsheets are stained. Someone keeps banging at work all day in the villas area.
Recently had a heart operation and came to relax, explained to the reception of my condition and it was take it or leave it situation.
Have stayed in much better accommodation in Bali before around the same price range.

I stayed here with a friend as part of a 3 week trip around Indonesia, and thought that this was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. We had a superior twin room, and while the facilities were reasonably basic, the hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.

The pool area was beautiful, although a little shaded. There was a lovely pool bar area as well as a smaller children's pool, meaning that the hotel could cater for a range of different travellers.

The hotel's breakfast was reasonably basic but lovely, and the restaurant staff were very helpful, even bringing food and drinks to us at the pool and in our room. However, the selection of evening meals was quite limited and we didn't particularly enjoy eating there. We were very impressed by the service in all areas of the hotel, and any issues were attended to very quickly.

The hotel was also well located for the beautiful beach and shopping areas of Seminyak, and hotel staff were very knowledgeable about the best places to visit, eat and shop. They also helped us to get in touch with cheap taxi firms and we found that booking through the hotel saved around 50% on hailing a cab on the street, even after bartering for a lower fare.

All in all, this hotel delivered exactly what we were looking for - a reasonably priced, clean and friendly hotel in a good location.

Great little place to stay. Very friendly staff, excellent location. Rooms are a little dated but very comfortable. Will stay there again for sure.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms have great bathrooms

luckily we only stayed for a night, we got the worst room near the reception. everything was run down from the bed to the creepy bathroom, it looks worst than my late grandfather's house in the kampong (rural area) from the 1980s.
the whole room has a damp feel to it. I couldn't sleep at all for the whole night. and to think it cost us USD60 a night. the only redemption is the location. I could pay a bit more to get a better room elsewhere.

I stayed there for 2 nights. I added extra bed.
The hotel location easy to reach. Nearby you can find so many minimarkets and restaurants.
But if you want to find fast food restaurant such as KFC and McD, you need to travel to Kuta for approx 4-5 km.
The room cozy, though I found a bar soap that used by the previous guest still layed on the basin.
The scenery inside the cottage is very green. There was a peacock in a cage and rabbits that my daughter loved it :)
The pool was OK.

The seminyak beach is better than Kuta beach. It is still natural, clean and less sellers.

Overall, its worth the money
