“Loved, loved, loved The Breezes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

What was not to like? After an initial misunderstanding with our room requirements, which were handled professionally, everything was just wonderful. My family consisting of myself, hubby, son (15 years) and daughter (11 years) had deluxe interconnecting rooms on the ground floor. These rooms had a verandah and our own private deck area with sun lounges overlooking the main pool. This vantage point gave us just enough privacy but also enabled us to enjoy the daily events scheduled to amuse the guests. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds are lovely and keep very clean.

The hotel is in a great location and we found it easy to get to many of the wonderful restaurants in the area. Everything we needed was within walking distance. My only tip would be to not use any of the money changers near the hotel. I enjoyed the 15 minute walk to the large one opposite Bintang Supermarket.

Breakfast was varied and enjoyable. We enjoyed coming back to the hotel after a night out and having a few extra drinks in d’Base, watching the nightly band performing. We had one meal in d’Base and this was the only disappointment of our entire stay. It’s a great fun venue and if the standard of the food was improved, I am sure it would be busy every night.

The facilities available for the guests were well used by our children. We were happy to leave them for a few hours to entertain themselves whether it be in the gym, watching a move in the cinema, playing table tennis or having a game of pool with one of the staff. Both kids found others to play with and stated that this was the best place they have stayed in Bali. We have stayed in a total of 8 different accommodations with the kids and they enjoyed The Breezes over all others.

The best thing about The Breezes is defiantly the staff. Everyone was happy and welcoming. Smiling faces were everywhere. I would especially like to thank Angga and the other staff who kept my kids happy and amused with the daily games or just hanging out with them and playing pool. The kids still talk about how much fun they had.

We will certainly return to The Breezes.

Room Tip: If travelling with children, the ground floor pool access rooms are a must.

We recently stayed at The Breezes for a fortnight based upon recommendations and reading reviews and we were quite disappointed. We booked interconnecting rooms, therefore it was quite pricey in comparison to other hotels, however we previously stayed at The Holiday Inn Baruna in Tuban with interconnecting rooms and that was exceptionally good value for what we paid and that hotel was far superior. The Breezes, whilst a 'family hotel', is extremely noisy around the pool bar area day & night, which is fine if that's what you want continually. Happy hour, which we did initially try, was abit odd in that it is buy 2, get 1 free. Fine if you can share the drinks with your partner for example, but they will only give you one drink at a time. Also having to pay for internet usage in your room is abit behind the times. For the first 3 days our childrens bathroom had a continual sewerage smell, getting stronger and stronger so much so it overpowered the bedroom. After 3 days of advising we were eventually moved.....to rooms at the front of the hotel, near the bar and d'base with it's 'doof, doof' beat until the early hours. Really couldn't be bothered asking to be moved again. I agree with some previous reviews the rooms are small and dated. Our room also had faulty light switches and sometimes when watching a dvd the volume would go down and to turn it back up we had to turn the light switch on next to the TV!! as the remote didn't always work, comical really but not really when it involves electrics. The interconnecting door had what appeared to be a patched up hole after what look like a punch hole in it, also it is abit concerning that we couldn't open the interconnecting door from our side as the handle is only on the actual room side, therefore if we wanted to go into our childrens room we had to keep asking them to open it, bit of a safety issue if children are quite young, as otherwise we had to prop the door open as it kept self closing. Hotel transfer we were quoted $10 US per person airport to hotel and only 100,000 rupiah ( $10 AUS ) hotel to airport, which was abit bizarre. The pool itself is lovely and the beach pool is a nice touch and great for smaller children as it is shallow, however the basketball hoop is right next to the shallow area so parents with toddlers have to be careful when the older kids are playing, there are also not enough sunloungers around the other pool. Breakfast is quite varied however it does get exceptionally hot in the restaurant area with not many fans for cooling. Whilst we weren't impressed overall with the hotel what we couldn't fault was the exceptional service at all times by the staff, as always the Balinese are welcoming and amazing people, shame the hotel was not of the same standard........

My hubby and i stayed here for 4 nights. "Astro Boy" showed us around and to our rooms, filled us in on all the activities. Fantasic hotel, beautiful pools, gym and spa, also has a departure lounge, which was great as we had a late flight, had tv, hot food, tea and coffee and cold drinks, also showers. Our room was on the third floor near the pool, at night we didnt hear any noise, rooms cleaned everyday and had turn down service, breakfast was buffet and was wonderful. All staff were friendly and helpful, would stay here again.

The hotel was such a fantastic place to stay. The room service was great and so were the staff. The pools were such an attraction, there was so much space to swim and relax. The pool bars happy hour which included Bingo, was always fun each afternoon.

The room was great and we heard no noise on the second level at the rear of the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was lovely with great pancakes, eggs, every kind of fruit, juices, and special sides which changed everyday.

The only thing that was frustrating was that there was no air con at breakfast, it is an open area with a few fans.

I went with my boyfriend and would return in an instant.

Room Tip: Rear room near the pool

We stayed in the Breezes for 4 nights in March over Nyepi day. We found the hotel to be good value for money, our room on the first floor overlooking the rear pool was everything we wanted and was certainly NOT tired and in need of refurbishment.
The staff were excellent and the hotel is in easy walking distance of the beach and the town centre of Seminyak. The buffet breakfast included in our rate was first class, with plenty of places to sit and eat. Egg dishes were cooked to order and there was a plentiful supply of European and Asiatic dishes.
The facilities in the hotel were very good and if you fancy a beer while you are swimming just swim up to the pool bar, place your order and away you go. Internet access was extra,(a pity for a hotel such as this) but was good and wi-fi was easily accessed in our room.
Would I return to The Breezes in Seminyak? A resounding yes would be our response.

Room Tip: Chhose a room facing the rear pool and you avoid any street noise

The Breezes, full of fun and enjoyment for anyone. The staff are awesome and assist you at every need and make the hotel fun and somewhere you want to be for a night in. Angga the activity manager is an amazing staff member that is polite and humorous and hotels need more people like him.

Room Tip: If your looking for a bit of a nicer room rent out the 'Junior suit'.

i can get a much better or newer hotel with the same value or even cheaper in the same area. I'm wondering how they got good reviews for this hotel. the room is old. i was trying to sleep when the music from the bar distracted me until 1130 pm , and i can smell the cigarette smoke from the next room's balcony. definitely not worth you money..
