“Highly recommend the Breezes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Breezes. Total cost which included breakfast was $749 for a superior room. Our room was located on the third floor, which at times was a bit of a hike but they are installing an elevator in that particular section of the hotel, which will be completed by March 2013. Check-in was very quick and we were greeted with a welcome drink and refreshing towel. The staff at this hotel are so friendly and always smiling, they also appear to all get on very well, which makes for a happy environment. Our room was excellent and exceptionally clean and comfortable, the air conditioner worked well and we had a balcony overlooking the pool. There are two pools, a beach pool with real sand surrounding it to give it a beach atmosphere, the pool is not deep and suitable for people with young kids. The other pool is deep with 3 levels, it includes a pool bar. The hotel have different activities at various times of the day, some for kids only and others for all age groups. At 6pm every night there is bingo at the pool bar and it is GREAT fun and not to be missed. The bar staff conducting the games get everyone involved and make it so much fun. There is table tennis available, along with an eight ball table, where the staff also organise games. An actual tennis court and a gym. My husband and I felt totally relaxed and extremely comfortable the whole time we were there. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty to choose from and always excellent. We ordered food from the pool area and also room service, everything was very nice. The staff/hotel put a huge effort into making everything comfortable and accommodating. At first we thought the actual location was not the best, however the beach is a short stroll down the end of the road, where at night there are a lot of the bars. Heading south, they have bean bags and tables set up on the beach so that you can watch the sunset whilst listening to either live entertainment or recorded music. It takes no time to get into the middle of Seminyak from the hotel by way of a back street, hence no traffic. Going in the other direction to Legian or Kuta does not take long by taxi either at a cost of AU$2 or $3.00. It is always best to get a metered taxi and make sure you have small notes as they like to hike up the fare by saying they have no change. However regardless of that we would always give more than the metered price considering it might cost AUD $3 and thats with a tip! In summary I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Seminyak.

Room Tip: If we had our time again we would pay the extra and select a pool room as there is easy access to th...

We stayed at the Breezes for a night. We paid about US$130 for a night which came with breakfast. Location is good as it is just around 7 mins to the beach. The hotel doesn't look all that attractive on the outside but I was surprised that the rooms are much newer than the look of the exterior.

The room came with all the usual amenities and had a small balcony which overlooked the swimming pool. Bed was comfortable and the room and toilet were very clean.

We had breakfast there and given that it was free I can't complain. It was just ok though as there were not much variety to choose from.

It is a shame that we didnt try their pool but it looked quite nice. There was a smallish man-made beach there and it looked quite cool.

Wifi in room is not free and this is the only drawback it has.

Overall, I think the price is worth the money.

The experience of staying at the Breezes resort and spa has left me only wanting more, the beautiful rooms, pools and countless other facilities provide everything that you could want and more. The lovely staff provide smiles and enjoyment for everyone young and old. Angga, who i became very good friends with, and Lia who take care of the hotels guest activities were beyond friendly and were happy to provide for any need, an amazing experience for which I will be back soon to have once again!

Room Tip: I found all rooms were excellent!

My partner and I chose to stay at The Breezes Bali Resort & Spa for the entire duration of our trip to Bali (7 nights). We absolutely loved the resort. The staff were all wonderful, polite, kind and willing to go out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The day we arrived we were treated to complimentary fruit mocktails and cool handtowels. We were given a guided tour of the resort and all its facilities which ended at our room. As we were celebrating our anniversary our floor had been covered in rose petals, 3 longs stemmed red roses and they had fashioned two swans kissing out of towels! Our package included a free buffet breakfast every morning which was very impressive (including western and asian cuisines). The food made at the restaurant is also good value and very tasty. At the moment the resort has two happy hours every day one which is buy 2 bintangs and get 1 free and the other is buy 2 cocktails and get 1 free. Needless to say we took full advantage of these offers most days. The resort's 2 pools are gorgeous and the resort's gardens and grounds are kept impeccably clean. The sucken pool bar is definitely a highlight! Each day we returned to a clean room and a cute new towel animal. The resort even has a departure laonge for you to use whilst you wait for your transfer to the airport which offers free cool drinks, coffee, cable Tv, hot snacks and air-conditioned bathrooms with showers.

The Breezes resort and spa offers a very relaxing experience for all people, including young children and teenagers that are looking for some fun. Hotel staff are always looking for ways to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, especially for children and teens. Angga, one of the very friendly staff members, was a huge help in involving the kids in many events and activities such as volleyball, pool pillow fighting and basketball. The stay exceeded my expectations

Room Tip: Top story rooms have a great view of the pool. Good for families with young children. They are also...

Indeed I can understand reviewer below who said breezes felt like an upmarket backpackers. I feel bad giving the place a bad review because I think unfortunately the breezes just wasn't for us (family of four, two teenagers).

The hotel is in a good position just a short taxi ride away from eat street for some good coffee and food. Many other local restaurants nearby as well. Beach if you dare is just up the road, a few hundred metres. We stayed in two ground floor interconnecting rooms which I do suggest is better as you have your own private chairs to lounge on and access to pool is terrific. Lots of massage places nearby although I did have one at Carla's spa which was pretty awful! Try Home Base Spa instead. The pool is lovely and plenty of chairs to sit on. My boys liked the place with lots of water activities and a pool and table tennis table in the lobby. We didn't use it but there is also a mini theatre you can book. They have a dvd library or you can BYO dvd. Rooms were clean and they gave us lovely towel art every day which was quite impressive. Nice rain shower in bathroom.

now some cons...
Everything is pay upfront (some of these things should not even incur a charge) including the room charges on arrival, internet, deposit on umbrellas (yes you have to pay), adapters and even English breakfast tea! We weren't running away and I really disliked constantly being asked to pay on the spot for things rather than these items being added to our bill. Wifi - not freely available although you can purchase a 24hr key but a pain to log in and out each time you use. These days it is so rare to have to pay for wifi. It really should be offered free at least in the lobby and in public areas. Happy hour bell rings at 11am and 5pm every day. I guess we are just not big drinkers!! We were on a family holiday as I said and getting plastered was not our focus. Pool towels need a good bleach or need to be thrown out. They were stained very grey. Towel system in general with card was also a pain. Food by the pool was expensive for this standard hotel. We had friends at the Royal Beach and food was cheaper there by their pool.

Overall and in the end we liked the place but in my opinion it is not suited to families who do not want to drink and get rowdy by the pool.

Room Tip: book a ground floor room at back of property

Our 4 days at the breezes was a wonderful and warm experience.

The best thing about this hotel is the friendly, kind staff, lead by the charming guest relations office Nicko.

That being said the rooms, location, pool and hotel facilities are also top quality and excellent value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
