“Great Villa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2009

Stay for 3 night, the room is great, bit pack but everything is good, nice bathtub, with a great jacuzzi outdoor. If you looking to spend some quality time with your partner. this is a good place.

The staff is very friendly, my driver help me to carry my shoes when we on the beach.
Well becareful, do not drink the welcome drink or the fruit juice in breakfast (by the way, the bring to your room) or you will get a nasty stomach ache. DRINK ONLY BOTTLE WATER CAUSE WATER IN INDONESIA IS VERY VERY DIRTY. YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT.

Overall is a great experience, thumb up to the staff. Only thing is at night when the generator start to kick it, spending in the jacuzzi is quite annoying. (it very quite in the room thou)

Don't fret if the driver takes you through a small alley to reach Uma Sapna. Though the entrance is not grand, the villas are neat, clean, private and you have everything you need there.

Uma Sapna has not restaurant, but their room service is really affordable. The same with the mini bar. You get breakfast delivered to your villa every morning. You need to complete a breakfast request the night before. They provide unlimited bottled water for your drinks. The spa is really really reasonably priced.

Location wise, Uma Sapna is really close to some of the nicer eateries in Seminyak area.

The pool (we had a villa with a private pool) was clean and big enough just for the 2 of us. In our villa, we have a shower, a separate toilet, a bath and 2 sinks. The villa is really spacious and has modern fitting.

Everything is great about Uma Sapna; however every afternoon, I smelled smoke from rubbish being burnt in the neighbourhood and also strong sewerage smell. I am not too sure whether it's something within their control.

You will get a free wi-fi in the hotel area. They gave it for us for free, but the connection was not working 80% of the time, so it was quite frustrating.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in the last week of January. We booked Uma Sapna through Serene Villas, as they were full at this time and could not accommodate us.
We had a one bedroom villa with a splash pool. The villa is very nicely decorated, minimal and modern. The location is quiet but too far from the beach. Also, as it was the wet season, the beaches at Seminyak get awashed with rubbish... so no nice swimming spot to go to.
It was nice and close to some very nice restaurants as the breakfast that was included, wasn't as good as what we got elsewhere. Try to go to Grocer & Grind, they do excellent breakfasts and coffee :o)
What was most disappointing for me at Uma Sapna was the service. Check in was fine, very pleasant staff. But after that, it went downhill. Most memorable, was when we asked a female receptionist who was walking past the pool for some recommendations (in English). She stared at us, looked at the gardener and then walked off! She didn't acknowledge our question nor did she come back to help us! We were speechless.
The icing on the cake was when we confirmed our airport transfer and wake up call for our check out day. We thought that all was in order until we woke up a few minutes before our wake up call. We proceeded to get ready to leave and still no wake up call. 20 minutes later we called reception to let them know about the missed wake up call and checked about the airport transfer. The receptionist knew nothing about neither of our requests and told us that it wasn't his fault. On a good note, he managed to call in a driver and fixed the error just in time.
Unfortunately, at Uma Sapna, we did not experience the wonderful service that Bali is renowned for. So we will not stay there again.
NB. There was something wrong with the water in the main swimming pool. If you opened your eyes under water, they would hurt immensely!

We stayed one night at Uma Sapna after had a terrific time at Maya Ubud. It wasn’t fair if I have to compare Uma with Maya. This is my first time I’ve stayed at Uma Sapna. I’m shocked with the fact that this property isn’t huge. It is located far from beach, even Seminyak main road. The property was bordered by local housing. I was uninterested by its condition. We stayed at 2 bedroom villa with private pool. The villa décor was nice with minimalist style. It has a large living and dining area with private kitchen. And, there was a long plunge pool secluded by minimalist landscape. Despite of the open layout of the bathroom, I enjoyed mostly everything in the villa. They also give us free 15 minutes massage and free in room breakfast, which is good. The staffs are also nice and polite. Overall, I really enjoy stayed there. I recommend this place for family vacation. But, if you want to enjoy accommodation with views, this property is not for you.

My fiance and I first stayed at Uma Sapna in June 2008. We're normally budget travellers, but since it was the first time in a long time we were escaping to Bali for a short break, we spent just a bit more than usual on accommodation to indulge ourselves.

What immediately impressed us was the service. Airport pick-up included a super smiley driver, who gave us cold towels and ice cold water as soon as we settled in the van.

When we got to Uma Sapna, which is located off a very quiet street, yet smack dab in the center of happening Seminyak, we were completely charmed by the property. Each villa has its own pool!

With a private garden and a private pool to frolic in, there was no reason to leave our private villa. Except for meals.

Uma Sapna's menu is alright, but restaurants in the surrounding area were just too good to pass up.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay, for a very reasonable price to pay. We're regulars now and it has yet to bore us.

Booked the spa pool villa via Asiarooms.com at USD 191 for a triple per night. Stayed 3 nights. As this was the first time we stayed at a villa, the experience was very pleasant the moment we step into the property. The rooms were all prepared with extra beds as reserved. Design and decor was modern and the villa was clean. The service level of the villa staff is fantastic. Always ready to serve and conscious of the guest privacy. Although some reviews stated that the main door which could be seen through, it was really not that bad. Breakfast is ordered night;y via a menu and served promptly according to the time you stated in the villa. The portions were generous and we normally did not manage to finish all of it. Overall this villa is a good choice between comfort/privacy/cost.
