“Definately not 4 star and not 4 star Bali service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

We chose this place based on the previous glowing reviews but were bitterly disappointed.
Where to start really...
The staff at the desk were less than helpful for anything. Getting any type of service around the pool was like getting blood out of a stone. We basically had to beg to get one beer and soft drink around the pool one day out of 6.The pool has no umbrellas around it and the sun lounges don't adjust so hanging around the pool for longer than one hour is not really possible. Then there is the shuttle bus which was not available once for us over a 6 night stay. The one time we were told to wait for 20 minutes and got up to the foyer to be told to wait another 20 minutes and then to be told that the shuttle was going to kuta only and not to seminyak as we had requested so we would have to get a cab. Could have been at dinner 40 minutes earlier. The staff seemed to struggle to understand a lot of things such as calling for dinner reservations.
Frequently ppl left their room service outside their villas for collection and it would sit there for hours with ants and bugs on them. There did not appear to be any fogging done at the villas for mosquitoes and as the bathroom has a massive open drain along the back, Mosquitos entered the villa all night long with no mosquito net
or coils in the villa to assist with this problem. Take aeroguard!! There was a lot of construction noise day and night. You could not sleep in past 8 am as there was light coming in front the bathroom which could not be covered up or stopped. The linen on the beds was dirty and frequently had stains on it which I would not expect from a 4 star resort. The plunge pool gets absolutely no sun at all and has nothing to sit around the pool next to it so I don't get it's purpose? What's the point of a holiday to Bali if you can't lie around the pool in the sun? The best part was on the last day when we requested a late check out which the staff advised was unavailable (which was ok) but then there was no hot water for the showers and when we came back later on and asked for 2 towels so that we could have a dip in the pool we were told that they did not have absolutely one towel available for us. Seriously what did this villa have? Would never stay there again and would not recommend to anyone. Based on the lack of service alone. We stayed at the all seasons at legian prior to this which was half the
price and a tonne better

Dear Arepee

Thank you for taking the time to review our Villa. We truly value your review and we apologize that we did not meet your expectations.

Providing our guests with the best possible hospitality and service has always been our mission. We take pride in our services, cleanliness and attention to detail, but clearly we were not up to standards on your stay. I truly regret that we didn’t handle things better and have followed up with my team to ensure such a situation does not recur.

We are awfully sorry that noises from across the street construction works did disturb your holiday and stay in our Villa, but we just receive information that the main works will be finished end of this week.

We really hope that you will visit us at your next trip in Bali so that we would be able to show you how hard we are working for our quality and the convenience of our guest.

All the best,

Rudy

Seminyak was our first destination on Bali, and though being quite shocked by crowds and noise of Kuta/Seminyak, were astounded by the beauty of the Daluman villas. This is exactly the case, when what you see on the pictures is what you really get. Location of villas is somewhat traveler should be aware of, as it is actually closer to the village of Legian than Seminyak. I guess it's just at the border between these two, not that it's necessarily a bad thing. Double Six beach is only 15 minutes walk, and 3-5 minute rides on a motorbike, which we recommend renting in any case.
Note that as of May 2013 there is an active construction site (quite noisy during daytime) just near the villas. It is of no major problems other than noise (again daytime only) and sometimes, we could see workers stalking us in our private pool from the roof of their site. This is just a very minor complain.
Garden has a private pool (water is pretty chill), sofa and Tv.
Rooms are brand new, very clean with very comfy bed and mattress. There is a safebox, TV and A/C. Bathroom is fantastic, brand new, very stylish, large and super clean.
Hotel personnel is friendly and helpful, room service and cleaning was very good, breakfast is somewhat average (again my wife and I are very picky "breakfast freaks") so in our's opinion you might wanna have a breakfast somewhere else - there's a lot to choose from in Seminyak.
Shared pool is big, but due to low number of occupants was always empty.
Overall - this is a fantastic value for money - villas are brand new, comfy and have a beautiful design and finish. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at Daluman Villas for 2 nights on the last leg of our honeymoon to Bali. We were greeted with welcome drinks and a cold towel while checking in. Check in was very quick, and soon after we were taken to our villa. Daluman Villas isn't a very big resort, but a long corridor of individual villas. Once inside our room, there was a small pool with a waterfall, a seating area where there was a tv, stereo, fan, microwave, fridge and welcome plate of fruits. The bedroom had a king sized bed, tv, and safe. The bathroom was my favourite, with a rainfall shower and separate tub. The villa was very clean and exceeded my expectations. There is also wifi throughout the villa so just ask them for the password at reception. The breakfasts were very good, their buffet had western and asian food and you can order eggs any way you want them. Be careful of bugs/mosquitos at breakfast, I had to run back to the room to get bug repellent because my husband and I were bit a few times. Before we departed we also had a meal from the restaurant and their food is very good and very reasonably priced. Their shuttle van took us to Seminyak Square, Seminyak beach and out to La Lucciola for dinner. It was very convenient. The only thing I want to point out is the villa is tucked away in a small street where there is much construction all around. Don't worry, you don't hear the construction but husband and I like walking around and experiencing places we visit. The cars and scooters/motorcycles make it nearly impossible to walk around. That was the only negative about the villas, the location. But the actual villa itself I would recommend to others.

We have just spent a lovely week on our wedding anniversary. This delightfully hotel was private beautifully set out but quiet and away from the hustle of seminak. The staff were friendly and courteous. The plunge pool was clean and refreshing. It was great to sit and read on the lounge and when too hot take a quick dip- it didn't matter the hour of the day. The bed was comfortable for someone with a bad back. The room was clean and cool. A little out of the way walking to the beach but once we got our bearings it wasn't too bad. I will reccomend this and hope to come back next aniversary.

This is my first visit to Bali and we spent 3 nights and 4 days in this villa.

Daluman Villa's concept involves individual villas (1 room/2 room) secured within a contemporary styled compound and complete with a pool and semi-open lounge.

The lounge area is equipped with a microwave, lounge chairs, an Ipod Player, fan, towels, refrigerator and basics for coffee/tea making.

The rooms boast a nice huge bed and a bath complete with rain shower and bath tub.

Reception is quite impressive with a cold towel and welcoming soft drink. Staff are very friendly and they communicate in English although they seem more comfortable with Bahasa Indonesia/Bahasa Malaysia.

This villa has several plus points namely, they offer pick-up from airport and drop-off to places within the vicinity until 8 pm for free, The distance to Ubud and Kuta is approximately 1 hour, Tanah Lot about 45 mins, Kintamani approximately 11/2 hours and to Nusa Dua about 30 minutes.

Overall, the ambiance is very relaxing, cleanliness is commendable, their buffet breakfast is a combination of local and western cuisine (pork included) and palatable,

The pool within the villa itself is approximately 8 x 8 square feet and slightly more than 1.5 m deep and is ideal for dunking, the main pool would be a better option for swimming.

A highly commendable villa worth every penny and is something to consider if you want luxury, comfort and staff who are very accommodating to your needs.

Very ideal for couples.

I went to Bali with my friend for Easter and stayed at Daluman Villas, one bedroom villa was super clean, new, comfortable and cosy. The private pool was clean and I underestimated importance of having one, we used it every single day many times... Staff was super helpful, friendly and was doing anything for us. Our return flight was at 9pm and we have been given a late check out - 6 hours extra! With no fuss... Highly recommended... Great holiday!

During our short trip to Bali, my boyfriend and I spent 2 wonderful nights at the Daluman Villas. From arrival until departure, the staff there were so genuine, extremely helpful and friendly - not to mention incredibly patient! On a couple of occasions when we had requested their transport shuttle service, the driver was left waiting for us for at least a good 15-minutes whilst my lazy boyfriend was still (slowly) getting ready to leave. Even still, they kindly greeted us and patiently drove us to our destination free of charge (although we tipped the driver at the end).

In terms of the rooms, the private villas are simply amazing! The decor was beautiful and the photographs of the villas on this page are in fact a very true representation of the rooms. The room and bathroom were always kept impeccably clean, air conditioning worked perfectly and the water was warm. The private pool in our villa was very well maintained and also offered that added touch of luxury and relaxation perfect for couples and honeymooners.

The buffet breakfast was also very good, especially the fresh banana pancakes! They even allowed me to take two plates of breakfast to our villa so we could eat there instead - my (lazy) boyfriend was still asleep and would miss the breakfast otherwise. (I suppose his sloth-like attributes were another reason as to why I ended up breaking up with him haha!)

Well on a brighter and more relevant note, another wonderful surprise came when we went to check out at 12pm on the afternoon of our departure. The lady at reception kindly asked about our flight times and upon realizing our flights were scheduled for 10pm that night, they allowed us to check out in the evening whenever we were ready - at no additional cost! They even drove us to the airport for free (they usually charge an airport transfer fee)!

It was this genuinely kind and thoughtful hospitality that made our stay at the Daluman Villas so perfect and unforgettable, and I would strongly recommend staying here. 10/10

Room Tip: Shout out to the nice man working there with the big round glasses!
