I recently stayed at Blue Karma for 9 days in a 1 bedroom suite (Tangerine). All of the staff are very friendly, but it was mostly hello's and good morning's. I didn't get to know the staff much beyond that. The breakfast selection was limited (eggs, fruit, cereal), but was sufficient for my tastes. I had a dinner meal at the hotel as well which was pretty good, but did not dazzle. The room I stayed in was nice. They come through every evening to spray for mosquitoes. This wasn't an issue until the last few nights, when the mosquitoes were in full effect. Otherwise the room was fine, but a few more electrical outlets would have been useful. On my last night there was a large storm, and I awoke to find my room was flooded with a few inches of water (and soaking my luggage on the ground). The night concierge did help me to another dry room in the middle of the night which was great. The following morning I was due to checkout, but a lot of my stuff was still wet. The manager comped my ride to the airport (~US$18) and I was allowed to use the replacement room beyond checkout while my stuff dried (but it took me asking). While the response was fine and I understand the weather cannot be controlled, I was a little disappointed at the response for making it right given the length of my stay The pool was fine, but there were not always enough beach loungers, and some are shaded the entirety of the day. The massage center was very nice, and reasonably priced for the area. Bali is very busy, and the area can definitely be heard from the room. If I go back not sure if I would stay at Blue Karma again.
