“Fantastic location - great villa - Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

We had 7 lovely nights at the 4 bedroom Villa with our grown up family. Everyone was so impressed with this Villa. We found the Villas to be very clean and tidy, The pool was always the correct temperature. The staff at this Villa were lovely and cooked us very impressive meals.
I would highly recommend Rumi Villas to anyone wanting to stay in the Seminyak area, its so close to everything you could need.
WiFi was very fast.
Also, try out the Canggu Club (Rumi Villas are members of this club), my grown up kids loved the waterpark..

Room Tip: We stayed in the 4 bedroom Villa. It was fantastic and I would strongly suggest that if you are tra...

Have just returned from staying in the 3 bed Rumi Villa. Amazing location. Approx 1/3 of the way down Eat Street (Laksmana) as you head to Seminyak Square. Right down the gang behind La Favella and Le Bistrot. Supermarket is across the road from Le Bistrot. Short walk (1 minute) down the gang to the villas. A little dark at night but nothing a phone light wont solve. Villa staff were beautiful and always willing to help. They arranged for a dressmaker to visit the villa within an hour of our arrival, sorted a driver for our day trip, sourced dried shallots for me to take home and made the best Mei Goring ($10 made enough for 4 people) that was served at exactly 9am as we had asked. Pool was clean, warm and had a perfect mix of shade and sun. Rooms were clean and comfortable - each with DVD players and their own bathrooms. The upstairs room was a little hot if the shutters were left open on the windows and in the bathroom but fine after I requested they keep the shutters closed during the day. They are conservative with the power which we supported given we weren't in the rooms in the day. Aircon was turned on at 4pm as the maid left for the day. There was no issue with turning it on earlier which I did when I wanted to be in my room one afternoon. There were 4 villas right next door to each other with security at the end of the path. Perfect location for a large group to get together and be right next door to each other whilst having your own Villa. A little closer to Eat Street is another 4 bed villa - amazing. cant wait to book this one.

The villa is really nice and very private. A little hard for our driver to find as its tucked away and not known by many people but once there it has been perfect. Very relaxing and great to have your own space and private pool.
Our maid Wayan is AMAZING! Could not find a nicer person to have around. Very tidy, very helpful and such a great cook! Would not have been the same without her :)

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom villas. It was very well presented and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The location is great, just a short walk to the main street for all the shopping and restaurants.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2014

I stayed at Villa Jepun at Rumi Villas with my parents and 3 three teenage children in April 2014 and we had a wonderful time all staying together here in this spacious 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom villa.

Mike the Aussie owner was fantastic to deal with. If you are in Australia, I cannot recommend Rumi Villas enough, not only for the greatly located Villas, but the extra service Mike provides. Although he is based in Seminyak, he has an Aussie mobile phone and is so helpful. Our entire 14 day holiday was arranged by Mike - everything from airport transfers, adventure tickets, day trips to Ubud, dinner bookings. The works.

Initially we had great trouble finding the villas. The driver did not know of Rumi Villas, and the address could not be found and is unknown to most locals because it is like a little laneway off a main thoroughfare with discreet signage. Make sure you let the driver know that it is off 'Jalan Drupadi'.

Villa Jepun was super private, being the last Villa in the row of about 5 of them. The main bedroom with king size bed was upstairs with a gorgeous adjoining bathroom - the perfect parent's retreat. Two bedrooms downstairs, each with two king single beds and adjoining bathrooms were great for kids, and also ideal for 3 couples.

The kitchen was great, and having our delightful maid Sesini (i apologize if the spelling is incorrect) every day was a bonus, she was a pleasure to have around. We missed her on her day off when she was replaced by another lady that always seemed to be in the way. Sesini's cooking was fantastic too, we loved our fresh breakfasts each morning. Do have her cook you a traditional Indonesian feast - amazing! I was blown away at how much trouble she went to to arrange hair braiding for my 17 yo daughter. After making 7 phone calls on her own phone, she found a place closeby and drove her there on her own scooter. So kind.

There are only a few little things that could be improved:
* internet is terribly slow and frustrating so do not rely on it as I had for work
* pool water looked a bit dirty when we arrived with suntan oil slicks on the top, and hadn't been cleaned for awhile. After I emptied the filter, we saw a big improvement the next morning.
* the bed heads in the downstairs bedroom are loose and every time someone moves they rattle loudly which drove me mad until we moved all the beds out away from the wall
* we struggled with the couches downstairs not being big enough to accommodate everyone.

These things aside, Rumi Villas are great. Rather quiet, and 2 blocks back from a main road with a fantastic supermarket and bottleshop, and beautiful restaurants, cafes and shops. Best location! Would definitely return here if travelling in a big group or family.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2014

My husband and I with our 18 and 21year old son and a friend just spent 7nights at Rumi villas. I would recommend this to everyone it was the best holiday. Our two maids Dayu and Dewi were fantastic would do anything for you and cook anything you wanted for breakfast.
The driver we had was great also. It was nice just to relax by your own pool. Only had a few issues with power and water but they soon fixed that.
We were close to shops and restaurants as wel. We would differently stay there again.
Thank you
