“Luxurious villa with large pool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed for 3 nights in February with a Groupon voucher in Villa no. 3.

Prior to arrival, I kept in regular contact with hotel staff to arrange for our airport transfer and to top up US$60 per night for my son to stay with us. Emails were very promptly replied to, within a day or so.

Upon arrival, we were picked up at the airport as arranged in a private car and offered cold drinks on the 20 minute drive back to the villa. Very thoughtful gesture. Very polite driver.

The extra bed we paid for was a large double sofa bed with a thick firm mattress, very neatly laid out in the large room. In addition to this we had a king-size bed. Room was large and VERY spacious for 3 people. Everything was new and clean.

Toilet and shower were outside the room in an outdoor area. There are no doors to toilet or shower so may not be suitable for people not travelling with family/ close friends.

The pool was the main attraction of the villa. It was at least 12m with 2 deck chairs, which I used to sunbathe daily. We had a couple of swims daily in the pool, and they also provided floats for my son.

Breakfast was cooked to order in our own kitchen area by friendly staff at a time we chose. Food was good and plentiful. There was enough to eat for lunch. Our package included "afternoon tea" - which was essentially 2 bite size cakes with a cup of coffee, anytime you wanted between 4pm and 6pm.

Service was generally good. Rooms were properly cleaned daily and turned down at night. No problems with mosquitoes as they fog every other day. Privacy respected as staff will telephone or ring the doorbell before they enter the villa.

There was a power cut at 3am on our last night. Rang reception and was told engineer will only come at 9am. It was stifling hot and stuffy so we had to open all the windows. Thankfully at this point it began to rain heavily so we managed to drift back to sleep, and the power and air-con came back on at around 8am.

The air-con units did struggle to keep the large room cool on very hot days. Perhaps this is something that the management can look into improving.

Location wise it is 5 minutes away from the main stretch in Seminyak where there are plenty of dining options and interesting shops to browse. A mini-mart was right opposite the hotel where we bought drinks. We walked to Seminyak Beach - took around 15 minutes.

We had a wonderful time, especially my 4 year old son, and we would definitely recommend this place because of the wonderful location, large pool, luxurious surroundings and awesome service. Great value!!

My wife and I have just returned from spending 7 nights at Ziva Villas. From the moment we met our butler at the airport to transfer to the Villa the service commenced. His attention and friendly smile and way, was outstanding. We talk on the way from the airport and he provided a great introduction and understanding of the local ways.
On arrival at Ziva we were again greeted with warmly from the security staff then the reception staff. After a very quick check in we were shown to our villa (villa 1), both my wife and I were blown away with what waited for us behind the doors to the villa compound, the pool looked perfect and walking into the room was amazing. The bed was presented with rose shaped hart and a swan made from folded towels on the bed was great, the bath outside again covered in flowers and hart shaped.
Our butler then presented us with a welcome cocktail and present a hart shaped chocolate cake with the writing “Happy 20Th Wedding Anniversary”, this was a great gesture and a wonderful thought.
Our visit to Ziva was perfect, we never wanted for anything and if we asked it was supplied quickly and happily.
The breakfast cooked in our villa was fantastic and to our liking, the cooking class with chef for lunch was great, enjoyable and delouses.
In all I could not fault the Ziva Villas, the staff and property were fantastic and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a first class experience and stay then do not bother looking just book Ziva, you will not be disappointed.
As this was our first trip to Bali, Ziva has made this memorable and enjoyable and we will return again, thank you all the staff you should be very proud of the property and service you provide.

Room Tip: We had villa 1, but sure all 6 villas would be great.

Absolutely beautiful villas with amazing service, all the staff were so friendly and always greeted you with a lovely genuine smile - they arranged a cake for my boyfriends birthday and came in singing for him which was just such a beautiful sentiment. Our biggest regret was only staying there for two nights. Will definitely be back :)

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel itself is relatively new and modern. The location of the hotel is just a 10 minutes walk from the busy seminyak road.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa. Compare to our other villa experience in Bali, the pool at Ziva is by far the largest that we had so far. The villa had separate kitchen and dinning area, bedroom area, and bathroom area. We loved our outdoor shower and outdoor bathtub. And because of that, this villa maybe more suitable to couples.

The service was great, the staff were very friendly and the ambiance of the place is wonderful. Will definitely return here.

We stayed at Ziva Residence (3 bedroom villa) for 2 nights. The villa is amazing in term of design and facility. However we had some unexpected experience on the first night. One of our friend dislocate her ankle when she step down on the living room at master bedroom. She’s not expecting the mattress is very soft and there’s uneven level between the floor and the mattress. Therefore she fell down on the mattress and her ankle dislocate.

The experience is not stop there. At around 11pm, we experience the power failure at the villa. The power failure is taking place 4 times and each failure is happening in 15 minutes period each of them. Honestly this incident is very uncomfortable for us because we were sitting in the living room and listening the music and when the power failure happen, we need to set all of them from the beginning again.

Not only that, one of our friend is taking shower when the power failure is happening and she experience some incident where she hit into the bathroom door when she’s trying to go out from the bathroom in total darkness. Because of that, there’s a big scar on her forehead. We called the front office to inform the situation and they said that the power is overload and we need to limit the usage of the electricity. Which is not making any sense because we’ve been using the same electricity from the afternoon and have no problem. We asked the manager to come to explain the situation, but the manager is not in the villa because it’s already midnight. Therefore we asked them to inform the manager to stop by at our villa the next morning.
The manager did come the next morning and explaining the situation and apologies for the incident. He also mentioning that the employee will try to fix the problem on the day so the incident won’t happen again at night.

We also experience another incident where there are some frogs coming to the bathroom at night because the mater bathroom is open air and have open access from outside and the garden itself. Therefore the frogs are coming from the garden into the bathtub and stays there for the whole night.

Another issue is we order the breakfast for the last day. We order the menu from the night before. However, the person didn’t mentioning if there’s additional charge if we’d like to order more than we entitle for the persons. We notice after we have our breakfast, we need to sign the additional charges for extra meal that we order. It’s not the nominal that we need to pay, but they suppose to explain regarding the charges when we order the night before. Even though we asked, but they didn’t say anything.

The villa design is amazing in term of the facility and the layout. However because of the garden design, they need to do something in order to prevent the animals coming into the room. Also there are many mosquito in the living room and the room itself. When we open the drawer, they’re full of dust. It feels like the villa is haven’t been rent for some period, or the housekeeping is not doing their job as suppose to.

Once again, the villa is good in term of design and facility, but they need to pay more attention into their cleanliness and to have their people do their job as supposed to. And the holiday that suppose to be fun and relaxing, is totally become a worry minute by minute during the stay because we never know what we will experience from time to time during the stay.

Room Tip: master bed room is the biggest room, however prepare of some animals coming to the bathroom at night...

Was there as I need a break from work.

Place is wonderful. 5 minutes from the main road and yet you won't hear it.

Service is top notch and attentive, from the airport pick up to back at the villa where they fixed the aircon for me when it got hot.

Villa itself is rather well maintained, although it does feel a little smaller than what the pictures show. Furniture and design is wonderful, however, practicality suffers in some areas - safety box was in the outdoor area, there is a table inside the room that really doesn't serve any purpose since there are no chairs and I ended up using it for my clothes.... because the wardrobe was outside as well.

Food wise, the breakfast are pretty good. My favourites are the eggs ben, mee and nasi goreng. However, it can be rather hit of miss sometimes and the chef seems to be different everyday, so even ordering the same thing for room service might give you different standards and presentation on a day to day basis. Tried almost everything on the room service menu and the calamari is good most days.

All in all, a really good deal for the groupon that I bought which averages out to about $265SGD/night. I might have been more demanding at the regular rate of $350/night.

Would definitely recommend :)

I stayed in this villa this january with some of my friends, I booked the 3bedrooms villa , and they villa was great, new design , clean and minimalist style , i love the swimming pool and the master bedroom, very great to chill out with friends here, we spent so many times in the pool w/ glass of wine/champagne hahha , anyway, actually overall was a great villa, and the service was great, staffs was very friendly, the only problem was I think they dont have enough staffs, and sometimes 1 staff can do so many things, so most of the times when we need something, it takes a lil bit longer than It should be ... Check some of my pictures of the villa ...
