Read the reviews about this place and then saw it is right opposite where we were staying. Traveling with a toddler with anaphylaxis to egg, we thought eating out with him in Bali would consist of taking a can of baked beans with us and trying to keep him occupied while we ate.
After finding out Frank and Paula are Aussies, we explained to them that no food can have egg, or touch egg and they explained all to the chef and went over and above to make sure his food was safe. This is the only place we let him eat while away, as the Balinese don't suffer life threatening allergies, so explaining it to them would be hard, and you can't be sure they would fully understand.
Our meals were excellent - you get a shot of local wine and juice to start which is lovely in the heat. Nasi Goreng is one of the best I've tried and all the other meals we had, I couldn't fault. The waitresses were absolutely lovely - playing with the 4 month old while we ate.
If you're staying in Seminyak, you have to give this place a try. Away from the big resorts in a 'real' street - this is what coming to Bali is all about.
