“No ask too big and we had a big ask in Bali...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2010

Read the reviews about this place and then saw it is right opposite where we were staying. Traveling with a toddler with anaphylaxis to egg, we thought eating out with him in Bali would consist of taking a can of baked beans with us and trying to keep him occupied while we ate.

After finding out Frank and Paula are Aussies, we explained to them that no food can have egg, or touch egg and they explained all to the chef and went over and above to make sure his food was safe. This is the only place we let him eat while away, as the Balinese don't suffer life threatening allergies, so explaining it to them would be hard, and you can't be sure they would fully understand.

Our meals were excellent - you get a shot of local wine and juice to start which is lovely in the heat. Nasi Goreng is one of the best I've tried and all the other meals we had, I couldn't fault. The waitresses were absolutely lovely - playing with the 4 month old while we ate.

If you're staying in Seminyak, you have to give this place a try. Away from the big resorts in a 'real' street - this is what coming to Bali is all about.

“Agreed - Best food on the street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2010

We found this little place almost by accident. We ate lunch there twice and on both occasions the food and service were fantastic.

Try the Chef's Caesar Salad. It's fantastic.

If this restaurant were in the busier part of town it'd be packed to the rafters!

“basic cafe , food ok”

Based on reviews we visited this cafe. Nice, cheap but not fantastic food. Service good as everywhere in Bali. Wouldnt go out of our way to return.

“best food on it's street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2010

Of course we visted me'nu on our last day! Otherwise we would have eaten there more than once. The service is great; the owner very personable-even came and chatted to us more than once, and most importantly the food was wonderful. A definite place you should visit during your trip to Bali!

“Beautiful food - hard to beat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2010

My husband stumbled upon Menu when walking back to our hotel Breezes one day. We decided to go back for tea that night fell in love with it. The owners are from Perth and couldn't be more helpful and the staff were great too. Lovely, cold face cloth on arrival - a huge welcome in the humidity and heat. I think our goal by the end of our holiday was to try every main on the menu and we probably did it. Ate there for lunch or dinner most days. You have to eat there - you will go back again and again!! Spotlessly clean, first class food and presentation.
