I have never been compelled to provide any written feedback on a restaurant until visiting “Nirvana” in Seminyak, Bali.
Here is a venue “screaming out”.
Screaming out – “Look at Me, Kimmy, Look at Me!”.
Screaming out for some direction.
This venue is a collection of culinary highlights from the best restaurants in Bankstown, Penrith, Frankston and Fountain Gate, from the
• The complimentary chilled towels on arrival
• The complimentary mini-margarita on arrival
• The complimentary spring roll (with frozen or tinned vegetables?) on arrival
To the Brynne Edelsten inspired:
• Purple, black and white colour scheme
• The artificial plastic flashing tree
• The artificial water fall cascading over the plastic logs below the artificial plastic flashing tree
I am not sure if it was the ambience created by the flashing Christmas lights cascading from the retracted pergola roof, buffeted by rows of electric swivelling fans or, the attractive well-heeled Indonesian spruiker at street level that lured my wife and I to this venue.
I suspect it was the live fire dancing from the previous night and the expectation of more “live entertainment” that led us into this western suburbs haven.
Within minutes of being seated, there was a frenzy of clapping as the restaurant staff broke into song to celebrate a patron’s birthday. The conga line of clapping and singing staff snaked it’s way to the front of the restaurant to the unsuspecting celebrant where all the patrons were subjected to a pre-recorded “happy birthday sweet 16” followed by a “live version of Happy Birthday by the 3 (Indonesian) Amigo’s and their Spanish guitars.
We met the owner of this restaurant. In fact, everyone meets the owner of this restaurant. Some patrons had the pleasure of his company at their table on more than one occasion. Fortunately for us, ours was but a fleeting hello.
A good restaurant is remembered by it’s food, this venue is not about the food.
For me, the lasting memory will be the discount voucher for the adjoining spa and wax saloon upstairs proudly presented to us with the bill. Yes -10% of your next Brazilian wax treatment.

Firstly as the owner of Nirvana restaurant i am compelled to offer a response to this Sarcastic ill informed review based on virtually no facts or true statements . Firstly you insult me by saying fortunately you only had a fleeting hello from me ,let me just say you know nothing about me and even saying hello to you was clearly a waste of my time.I can understand why you dont write reviews because clearly the facts and truth mean nothing to you . Lets address some of your comments ok ? The color sheme of my restaurant is charcoal and pink so you are WRONG in this regard. The only thing that flashes is one tree which actually changes color not flashes all other lighting is static WRONG AGAIN. The song my staff sang to the guests was not happy birthday sweet 16 WRONG AGAIN .That night i actually sat with my wife as i was ill maybe I sat at 3 other tables all night not all tables WRONG AGAIN .If a restaurant review is not about the food what is it about ???? decor and spa vouchers ?WRONG AGAIN. You imply when you were offered a discount voucher for the spa and a brazillian wax was mentioned never has this happened WRONG AGAIN . Our complimentary spring rolls are made from fresh vegetables not otherwise as you imply WRONG AGAIN.Clearly all the restaurants in the areas you mention must be excellent restaurants as they provide the extra special free items to make their valued cusomers feel so welcome just like us .I suggest Trip advisor get an Ausralian to look at this review as they say it is within their guidelines ,which they state, the review must not have any sarcastic comments or personal insults ? Clearly trip advisor must be reading a different review ???. Finally there is only one thing saying Look at me Look at me and it isnt my restaurant. Thankfully i gain the impression you wont be back in our restaurant again HAPPY DAYS
