“Could be worse”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

Seminyak offers few hotel options so travelers shouldn't be too picky. The best that can be said about Seminyak is that it isn't Kuta or even Legian. By South Bali standards, it's quiet, and the beach isn't far. But the building shows its age. For example, one of two small bolts on my room door was broken and the lock could easily have been removed. The pool is OK, but ground level rooms are very dark, wifi is only available in the restaurant, and the piped music (Argentinian, as far as I could tell) is annoying. You are in Bali. If you crave Argentinian music over breakfast, perhaps you should go to Argentina?

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is great. Walking distance to the beach and shopping. Large comfortable rooms and the food was good and reasonable. Book online for better price.

we have just had 5 weeks at this lovely hotel. we had planned 3 but liked it so much we ended up staying for the 5 weeks we had in Bali.
room number 2105 is large, the bed is 2/1/2 metres wide and comfy, the aircon works fine, there is plenty of hot water in the shower/bath, the fridge is ok too, and there is plenty of storage space for luggage.
the rooms are kept very clean by the room boy.
on the first floor, we have a nice verandah that overlooks the4 2 fish ponds.
Color TV, has the usual Indonesian channels, and BBC news.
Breakfast, included in the rate, is either American with egg/bacon/toast/tea/coffee/ fruit or juice, served 7am to 11.
meals in the restaurant are all good prices, with NO TAX. On a Saturday night they have a special BBQ of either whole snapper, or satays, includes a salad plate and rice. all for $8 AUD at current rate. Night room service available for food.
the pool, at the rear
of the hotel is clean and not in public view. the staff are all very friendly and helpful.a 5 minute walk to seminyak beach, plenty of taxis pass the hotel,$2 down to legian,$4 to kuta.or walk on the beach,

Room Tip: 2105 is on the first floor, up a short flight of steps, we are in our 70s and we had no trouble. roo...

Walking distance from the beach. Nice staff. nice room for the money.
Breakfast was nice,, there is a pool table and tours available to go anywhere.
Local food is easy to find and there is a market just outside with a ATM.
Blue taxis drive past on the road,, 10-15 minutes to get anywhere but avoid in the afternoons as its busy on the roads.

We got a big nice room in the ground floor with garden views and close to the reception. The room attendance boy was ready to help me with my bags and show the room once I got off the taxi. I love love love the spacious bathroom, the housekeeping staff(s) who cleaned up our room everyday were just awesome, whenever we returned to our room after went out even for a short walk at the beach it's turned to such a clean, nice, tidy, fresh room again. The staffs are so lovely and friendly, even the one who served us in the restaurant. I suggested to order their spring roll, it's massive and tasty, enjoy it while its hot yummmmmm. The hotel manager was so so so incredibly helpful, friendly, and care; he always make sure if our room was comfy enough or even just simply to ask how was our day. Nothing can compare to an attention and caring staffs during our long holiday. We'll be back again for sure!

My friend and I just recently stayed here for 2 weeks. We cannot speak highly enough of the great staff,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great ambience with the old style Bali, fantastic pool, 5mins from the beach, handy to all shopping. For the price you couldnt get any better, thanks Paradiso for making our stay in Bali even better!

Room Tip: Doing online booking gets a cheaper price.

The most unique aspect of the Paradiso Seminyak is the fact that it is the only real Balinese hotel on (former) Jalan Dyana Pura. The other ones are trendy, modern, hip and mostly better maintained. However, they miss the Balinese ambiance, the Balinese architecture and typical Balinese atmosphere.
The Paradiso buildings may be old, the maintenance somewhat outdated, the pool small and the restaurant yet to be discovered by customers, its unique style and the friendly staff make a stay at the Paradiso (a Balinese name would be much more accurate) a much better choice than one of the trendy neighbouring other hotels.

Room Tip: As the hotel has no elevators, so ask for a room on one of the lower floors. The stairs are very ste...
