We stayed 3 nights at the Braeside on our recent visit to South Africa and I must say it was one of the best places we've stayed. It is a lovely big old colonial style house set in a lovely large garden in a quiet location just uphill from the main street. The rooms were very spacious with our own fridge (great for keeping fresh milk for tea. British guest houses take note). There was even complementary wine and beer. A superb breakfast was served outside on the lovely verandah by the owner, Fiona. Fiona really knows how to look after her guests and nothing was overlooked in attention to detail. She couldn't have been more helpful in letting us use the internet and suggesting places to visit and where to eat. highly recommended.
