Swellendam is a small town and one of the first colonial towns in South Africa. If you enjoy seeing how people lived 200 years ago, take a stroll through the museum. They froze in time the kitchens, bedrooms, carpenter tools, leather maker, artwork, jail cells, shoemaker tools, flour mills, and many other ways of life from that era. It takes about 90 minutes to walk through the different grounds. Worth a visit.
