“BSA Sales and Distributors Training Conference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Our company held our annual Sales and Distributors Training Conference at Erinvale and what a SUCCESS!!! The scenery was stunning and the service was 10 out of 10. Valencia was an absolute superstar who did such an outstanding job of making sure everyone was fed and well accommodated. Everyone was so helpful and made sure that my foreign and out of towners enjoyed their stay....a weekend of work turned into a weekend of relaxation. WELL DONE!!!!

This hotel was fantastic and would recommend to everybody - and the food truly scrumptious. The rooms have air-con and mosquito nets if needed. There is also a fridge to stock up on the local exceptional wines.

Room Tip: Best to have ground floor overlooking central green by Reception. These rooms have small terrace wi...

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend a night at Erinvale Hotel and Spa last week, and can only hope that we have a chance to go back soon! We started off with a couples massage in the Spa which set the tone for a relaxing time. After checking in we visited local winery Flagstone for a tasting and spent the late afternoon with friends at local hand-crafted brewery Triggerfish, after which we returned to our beautifully appointed room with huge double bed and every amenity you could wish for. Dinner was the South African buffet in the manor house dining room, which is a priviledge as the historic core of the home is perfectly restored and can be enjoyed by all visitors. The interesting array of dishes across the Cape Malay cuisine spectrum combined with a great wine list featuring SA classics and a good sprinkling of local Helderberg wines coupled with fantastic service, really made our night! Breakfast the next morning was a lavish affair with us seated on the front veranda under the huge oak trees, paging through the newspapers, whilst enjoying a slow start to the day. Two things stood out for me about the Hotel: The staff are local people and are obviously happy to work there as they are totally professional, very friendly and chatty, and really like to spend time with their guests - there was never a moment's hesitation to interact with us and they were really jumping to help out whenever they could. Secondly the setting of the hotel with the historic manor house as the centre piece and the layout of the rooms around a garden courtyard creates a feeling of peace and tranquillity which makes you forget that you are essentially in a suburban area, albeit on the edge of developement. We loved the outing and it shows once again that being a tourist in your own city should be a regular occurance!

A beautiful Cape Dutch Wine Estate type Hotel , which has a residential and Golf Course attached to it. The hotel is on the side with a separate entrance, so one never sees the Golf course really.

The welcome was very warm, and enthusiastic. The room was a bit disappointing though ( dated and no modern facilities ie minibar, very few plugs,no wifi, no face cloths and no turndown service). The rooms are big and comfortable though.

A nice boutique hotel hotel in secure grounds near Somerset West. My only complaints were the wireless internet was non-existent in the room and poor even in hotel reception and bar. Also, my room was quite near the road and suffered car noise and finally the room aircon wasnt powerful enough to cope with the local high summer temperatures.

Room Tip: Ask to be as far away from the road as possible.

in february 2013 we again stayed at this hotel which gave us excellent service in advance by booking golf, loaning golf clubs and arranging stephanies restaurant in advance. we stayed in room 29 as we have done for many years which is a great air conditioned room en suite with a nice balcony to sit on outside. the service was as great as ever with no request being a problem. we eat in the irish pub with good food and enjoyed the breakfasts.
we will continue to use and recommend this hotel in future.

Room Tip: we recommend downstairs room with a verandah and have always cosen rooms 28 and 29

We stayed here as part of a wedding so our main criteria wasn't access to Cape Town. The hotel is sited an easy half drive along the N2 East of Cape Town Airport. If your priority is the Wine region, Golf and whale watching in Gordon's bay then you are ideally situated. Saying that though I cannot see that a drive into Cape Town would be that bad for a day out.
The Hotel itself is lovely, old Dutch Colonial buildings set in its own grounds and gardens with a a beautiful mountain back drop. Rooms are clean, tidy and large, dated maybe but that just adds to the charm. Food is excellent, and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Service can be a little slow but for us it wasn't a problem it added to the charm again of the whole stay.
My wife loved the Spa, which counted as excellent compared to those that she uses in London, so well worth booking when you stay
All in all this a place of character that will leave you charmed with memories.
