The house is so nice and the rooms and bath are luxury. The breakfast is perfect. The location is fantastic if you prefer peace and quietness, but just 2 minutes from the center by car (and it is easy to park there). The parking is an important added-value. Luc and Gilda are really nice. I would recommend 100%.

A charming bed and breakfast, with beautifully furnished rooms, and amazing grub.
The hosts were very friendly and their involvement in the B&B is plain to see. The atmosphere was relaxed and we felt safe and had a wonderful nights rest.

I stayed there for two weeks in the month of August for business. From the moment I arrived at Balinderry I immediately felt as if I were home but only way better. I was greeted by Hilda on the first day and she showed me around my new room that I was going to be staying in for the next two weeks and I was blown away. The room was cosy & warm and the beds linen was always fresh and clean (Cleanliness is a must for me and the room was always cleaned everyday) . I was introduced to Luc the following morning and he showed me around the breakfast area and made me feel right at home. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic and everything was always freshly prepared, tasty and visually appealing which made it sometimes difficult to choose what to eat as everything looked scrumptious. Overall the hospitality was superior to most of the guest houses I have been to. A big thanks goes to Luc & Hilda for the hospitality, letting me stay at their beautiful guest house and making the two week stay an unforgettable & awesome experience.

Room Tip: "The Luxury rooms outside are spacious and have beautiful décor ( Very Private)"

We had planned to stay at Montagu ( we were coming from Knysna and going towards Cape Town) but didn't like anything there and as it was still daylight thought of continuing on. It soon became dark and we tried finding a place to stay. We were lucky to find Ballinderry at Robertson. We had looked at 'Robertson Small hotel' (looked very nice) before this but it was a bit expensive for us and in any case it was full. The lady there helped us in contacting Luc at Ballinderry. We weren't too keen on 'grand hotel. '
Luc helped us out by giving us discount as we were staying just for the night . We were 2 couples with total of 3 kids . The kids shared a room. So we had 3 rooms in total. Rooms were nice and spacious with good bathrooms. As it was night-time, Luc suggested a nice restaurant where we could have dinner.
Hilde made some very nice breakfast for us which we had by the fireplace.

My wife Devicka and I went for a walk in the morning and to see what Robertson was all about. It appeared to be a nice and peaceful place. Luc and Hilde seemed to be good people and I hope they continue to do well.

We stayed here in March 2012 during a 4 week tour of South Africa. This is one of the best hotels/b&b's we stayed at during the holiday.

The owners Luc and Hilde give you a warm welcome and go out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic stay. They made excellent recommendations regarding what vinyards to visit and the best wines to try. I left something in the room and Luc and Hilde were kind enough to post it back to the UK.

The hotel is modern with clean comfortable rooms and a very nice swimming pool. The owners pay great care to attention to detail, such as the sparkling wine served with breakfast!

A special mention goes to Hilde's cooking. The food was excellent, I can't recommend it enough, some of the best food we had on the whole holiday.

From the moment we arrived till the last second we enjoyed our stay at Ballinderry Guest House.
We only stayed for one night at this exceptional guesthouse in Robertson. We stayed in room 1, which overlooks the pool area. Comfortable beds and large bathroom. The room has all the facilities you would want. Hilde cooked our evening meal, which was fantastic.Luc and Hilde are a great team. Good wines and Good company. We will definitely be returning to this gem.

In a nutshell, we found all the positive comments in the Ballinderry reviews to be true. This place works because of Luc and Hilde's hands-on approach and their attention to detail.
Robertson was nice and is a central base for the area but we would probably stay in Montagu or McGregor next time. For us, these towns had more character and a better selection of quality restaurants.
