“Great Stay, Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2011

Alta and Addy are the BEST hosts! We loved our stay. They are such lovely people, very helpful and accommodating. They have equally friendly dogs, a big bonus in my eyes. The accommodations are in a perfect location. We walked to events, restaurants and shops. The mattress was so comfortable. The rooms are clean and simply appointed. The breakfast was a simple and the muffins are delicious. We were extrememly happy withour choice. Great value and Great Stay. Highly recommend. They have a new luxury room. Had it been available on line, we would have booked it. It is very nice. We stayed at the room toward the front door. Windows look out onto Grapevines - very pretty.

Room Tip: choose room at front or luxury room

BB was close to town - we walked everywhere. Very homely staff and great room and bathroom - We stayed in the Luxury room which was comfortable, nice deco and a great shower! We could change from the King size to Twin beds by request which was a bonus. Great veranda to relax with wine - Felt welcome and safe we had a packed car parked on property - dogs were good security! Was a serious treat before camping in the Karoo!

Room Tip: Luxury room has best facilities for bit more

This is a beautiful little guest house with period charm. It is excellent value for money compared to other hotels and guest houses in Franschhoek - for the money we paid we really didn't expect such a lovely room. Our host Addey showed us his most recently renovated room too, which I would recommend for anyone who fancies a bit of extra luxury! We really enjoyed our stay here.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. A lovely couple rent out guest rooms and are so welcoming. It is right in the center of town, perfect location for a day of wine tasting. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed for two nights at this B&B- I dont think we could have found accommodation so close to the town at such good value. Alta & Addey were very friendly helpful hosts.

The room we stayed in was very comfortable with walk in shower/ensuite. We viewed the new room which was being refurbished when we were there and it looked amazing. Would recommend staying here if you want to be within short walking distance to the shops/restaurants.

A lovely room with friendly and helpful hosts. Just one street away from the main thoroughfare in Franshhoek this was a great find that was really good value for money. Even though when booking it was on a room only basis, we were happily surprised with muffins, fruit and yoghurt in the morning! Just what we needed after dining out in one of the many lovely restaurants in the town.

We spent 3 nights in Franschoek and really enjoyed our stay. Everything is nice and clean. Alta and her husband were very helpful and we felt very welcome. The Guest House is in walking distance to all the nice restaurants which can be important after a nice dinner with some wine ;).
