“Excellent hotel, centrally located”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

We booked 2 rooms for 1 night and have stayed at the hotel once before. The hotel is very centrally located, beautifully furnished, clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast and the service and staff were very good too. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

I have been for few nights and I think has been excellent place where to stay.

The manager Mrs. Jenny (Gemma) is a lovely person able to assist clients, in my case she assisted me to book horse back riding, restaurant and she gave to me many suggestion.

Great place and I will defiantly be back. . .

A very comfortable and relaxed stay with extremely efficient and pleasant staff. Truly enjoyed the entire experience and the facilities were very clean and comfortable. Close to shops and restaurants and everything in walking distance.

We stayed for two nights whilst enjoying wine tasting in Franschoek. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable and brilliantly located just off the main road and yet really quiet - elegant with little idiosyncratic touches.. Breakfast on the terrace set us off for the day of sightseeing and wine tasting.

Good value rooms with good bathroom. Nice little pool in an OK garden, though a bit narrow with not to much sun in the afternoon. Excellent breakfast. Central but peaceful. Helpful and friendly staff. Good parking.

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night at Le Ballon Rouge and really would recommend to anyone considering guest houses in Franschhoek. The pictures did not do it justice. The room was gorgeous - immaculately clean and v comfortable, the bathroom was huge - very modern, rain shower, two sinks, separate bath. This is unbelieveable value for a place of this quality. location was perfect, staff were very nice and definitely go for the omlette for breakfast - it was great. We would also recommend the wine tram in Franschhoek for an easy way to get around a number of wineries in the one day. We went to Haute Cabriere for dinner which was also really good.

The suite was amazing. Very big, beautifully designed and maintained and a bottle of bubbles waiting for us on arrival. The breakfast was lovely and the service good but understated. We had a fab time
