The Greek experience in town starts from when before you enter, it looks the part of a Zorba the Greek wine drinking/ bit of madness experience. However, service with a smile meets you at the door and by the end of the week, by which time I was a regular - it is a home coming prodical son festival. The Greek is a geniune contagious experience, it is excuse the pun - the happy place!
It is hard to pinpoint the winning recipe - view maybe, great service, beautiful interior and brilliant music creating a quiet yet bubbling vibe, it could be the winehouse effect or maybe all of the above perfectly shaped in a greek mosaic design. Pure bliss.
The problem occurs that none of the above is a match for what is a glorious menu. Take your pick from the best prawns in the country, chicken the way Zeus wanted it served, lambshank or even pizza just tops the whole experience.
It is easy to spend an evening in the Greek, it might end up a week.
Truly a happy place...
