“Great for families”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

My 1st time to Wildwood I was very happry with my stay. The things that I liked about staying there was the proximity to everything. On side of the hotel you have a open field you could play Soccer, Baseball or have a picnic. On the other side you had Basketball courts and a play-yard for the kids. In the back was the beach.

The hotel was clean and very friendly and there was several families staying there.

There were some drawbacks I felt that the pool could of stayed opened longer and the rooms could of been a little bigger, but other than that I was happy with my choice.

It was pricey but I figured if I'm going to stay at a rinky dink place for 200 I 'd rather spend a little more and stay at nice clean resort

Room Tip: I stayed in the Sea casa effienciency suite overlooking the beach and pool

Was very disappointed this year due to the fact that we booked early in March for July and when we were asked what type of room we would like we stated we wanted a Beach Bliss, we were assured we would get this type of room, however we were given the only room in the hotel that has half balcony we were not even able to sit out there because it was so small and there is a table right underneath it where other people eat lunch or dinner (room 104).When we asked to have our room switched we were told "the hotel is completely booked and I'm sure you were told about this when you booked " which of course we were not! We were also charged the same rate as any of the other rooms in this category. I also found the front desk staff quite rude and they acted like they were bothered anytime anyone was checking in. I'm sorry to say that after staying there for 5 years we defineltely will not be back!! We could have stayed at the Grand Floridian in Disney World for less money and less hassle, with friendly happy staff that make you feel comfortable and welcome! Don't waste your vacation or money here!!

Room Tip: Do not stay in room #104

The Pan American is one of the best hotels in Wildwood Crest! The rooms are soo nice and renovated with granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. The view of the ocean is GREAT even if you aren't ocean front. Having the bike path right in front is great for "people watching" and the pool view is wonderful, since the pool is so Doo Wop. The view of the pier at night is Terrific! You can see the ferris wheel change colors and the roller coaster roll down. The rooms are very clean and big enough to fit the whole family. The staff is very nice and welcoming, and the lobby and lounge area are very comfy. I would highly recommend a stay at one of the best hotels in the crest, the Pan American!

Until I purchased a condo in the area, I stayed at the Pan American. The hotel must be pretty good for me to return year after year. I suggest however, that you choose a room that does not face the pool. It is too noisy. The boardwalk starts three short blocks from the hotel. The Ocean is steps away. Parking is either outside or in. They have a restaurant, lounge area, and outside deck. The hotel is owned by the family that owns Morey’s amusements. They have the Pent-house. Happy travels!

The hotel is well located, very clean, big pool with snack bar. The staff is very courteous. The only small issue is the small bathroom with little counter. We had a great trip and plan on coming back next year.

My family has been going down to Wildwood for around 25 years and nothing compares to the Pan American. The rooms are beautifully appointed and meticulous. The staff is outstanding. Especially our maid Debbie who always made sure our room was perfect with a smile. This is important since we have children with allergies. You wouldn't know it however, the rooms and facility are pristine. We originally made the mistake of booking another hotel that was also right on the sand and had a deal to good to be true. It was exactly that. We checked in there and immediatly checked out. The Pan American fortunately had room for us. We stayed in the Beach Bliss room. The beds were outstanding. My husband has slipped disks in his back and slept like a baby. When we came home we actually bought a new mattress set to match the ones they use. The kitchen is perfect. You can comfortably prepare a healthy meal. It's clean and well stocked. The bathroom is beautiful and cavernous. The rest of the hotel was also wonderful. Loved the elevator that allowed you to go from the beach straight to your room in a quick minute. Through the automatic double doors and up the elevator to your cool & beautiful room. The staff was frequently, but unobtrusively doing upkeep. Whether adjusting an entrance gate or applying paint to a scuffed wall by the pool, they are constantly working to keep this place top notch. The restaurant take out window by the pool is convenient and the sweet potato fries divine! We will stay here again. Don't make the mistake of booking outside a Moreys Resort. This hotel is outstanding. As a point of interest for boardwalk/waterpark lovers. We found the money we may have saved somewhere else was actually minimal if you got a stay and play pass. This pass is an amazing deal & only available at Moreys properties. Another nice feature is that you can walk to both the boardwalk and bike rentals and there is a park with nice play equipment and a basketball court next door. Also, it was also a nice atmosphere guest wise. There was not a typical rowdy shore crowd, just families and couples having a great time. Love this place. Looking forward to our next visit!
