Let me tell you I was very skeptical about staying at this hotel after reading all the negative comments. First of all i must say that "yes" the fruniture in the room was a little old but in no way was the room dirty nor dingy, the property is very well maintained and the pool had to be one of the cleanest pools I have ever been in! As far as the staff, Marina and her husband were very nice people and I look forward to meeting them again. Overall the Yankee Clipper is NOT a dirty hotel, and when we go back to the Jersey shore next year we will stay there for sure! So people stop being so suffy and go enjoy the shore!!

Jesus Christ, what's wrong with you people? The Yankee Clipper is a very fun, family orianted place to stay at wildwood. If you have ever even been to wildwood, you'd know that there is alot more to it than the hotel your staying in. The beach, the boardwalk, the rides and waterparks, awesome minature golf restuarants. Overall it's a very fun place to go for vacation. There is nothing wrong with the Yankee Clipper. I would Recomend it to Anyone who doesn't feel like paying the larger prices just for a place to shower and sleep. COME ON PEOPLE, GET YOUR NOSES BACK IN JOINT!

Haven't been to Wildwood in a few years, but my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Yankee Clipper. I didn't check this web site prior to going and I am glad I didn't because I may have been scared off by some of the reviews. The couple running the Yankee Clipper (I believe they are also the owners), were friendy and more than happy to answer "What restaurants do you recommend" and other questions I am sure they have had to answer a million times. The rooms were clean, the pool was pristine, and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

I was a bit shocked to read the other reviews as my family was very happy with the stay at the yankee clipper. Our old motel was sold and this was our first stay at the Yankee Clipper. Yes, it is not the four seasons and it could be updated but it is a motel. One where you are very close to the beach (and there is not a three mile walk to the water) as well as the boardwalk. The pool is a great size (find one in the newer condos!) and then there is the ping pong, put-put and game room. This keeps the children busy and meeting new friends. I thought the people who run the place were very nice and love the idea that they rent to families. Our room was outdated but clean. The maid service was good. I found no reason to complain. If you are looking for newer furniture then stay somewhere else.....for our family we go to the shore for more then the furniture....and we will stay there again.
