“Nice place to stay, but management manner leaves much to be desired”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011

The location is amazing and the rooms nice. Management was unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, and made my parent, who had been saving for this trip for a long time, feel unwelcome and nervous. We gave no cause for complaint-- not disruptive or dirty, etc.

i have been going to the Biscayne since i was a teen with my family and my then boyfriend (now husband). Going back year after year I feel like the Davenport family is part of my family ! It is even better now since they acquired the adjacent properties and now have 2 pools ! It is always clean and run with a family atmosphere in mind. They offer various rooms and efficiency suite styles to accomodate the # in your group. With only a short walk to the beach, you can't go wrong!

I can't say enough about what a great place this is. We just came back from our family trip that included my parents, my nephews, 6 and 8 yr old, and myself. We stayed in the "G" suite. The location near the beach was great. It also helped it's on a dead end street with not much traffic. This place is exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Both pools were great and the boys loved them. Even with all the people there, the place was quiet. The staff was also very nice. We all can't wait to go back next summer!

I decided to post this review because my husband and I just came back from our third annual stay at the Biscayne and I'm impressed by how consistently friendly and well run this place is.

Patrick and his staff are very friendly and responsive to any concern, no matter how small (same management/owners as in previous years). This place is well staffed and spotless. Both pools are cleaned every morning.

Our room (#207) consisted of a small kitchen area with full size fridge, sink, stove top, & microwave, with dishes, pots, dish towels, dish soap etc.; and a living area with sofa bed, flat screen TV, and table and chairs. The living area is separated from the bedroom by a louvered door, and there is a smaller TV in the bedroom. There is no elevator, but we loved being on the second floor because there are two patio areas, and the one closest to our room got a great breeze- and you can see a bit of the ocean, one block away. There are three floors and several sections to the motel, but the second floor of the section attached to the office is the one we prefer (because of the patios). There are also two larger efficiencies on that floor if you need the room.

The Biscayne does provide free Wi-Fi, but no shampoo :) Although I didn't see a hair dryer, it's possible they were available at the office, as iron and ironing board were if you asked. There are grocery and drug stores within a mile or so.

This place isn't next to the boardwalk- the southern end is about a mile away- but I think that's part of the Biscayne's appeal. The side street leading to the beach is a quiet dead end. It's a great place for families, groups, and couples, because the beach is less crowded here, and you can always hop in your car or take the trolley up to where the action is. I'm already looking forward to going back next year :)

Room Tip: Ice cream and fruit trucks come by daily

We booked this motel last minute for 2 nights. This motel is very well kept. Very clean. Rooms are good size. Location is excellent considering proximity to the beach. Far enough from Wildwood noise but close enough for all the attractions.

While visitng Wildwood with my now fiance and his family(there was a total of 15 in our party) we stayed at the Biscayne and could not have been happier. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. We stayed from Wednesday-Sunday and on Friday we got engaged! The front desk staff made us feel very special. There are two pools at this hotel and both are clean and offer kid areas. We arrived very early on Wednesday and were able to check in by 12. The only negative is there isn't a lot of space to hang out, there are a few sun decks but if your rooms aren't close to them it can be awkward to hang out on them. Even though the hotel isn't direct beachfront it is only a few feet away and from the second & third floors you can see the ocean. The Biscayne is a great place to stay!
