First off I paid over $200 a night to be put right over top the barbeque grills? The room itself was small and on a slant. The air conditioning did not work or worked if set at 80 is working. The beds were absolutely horrible, I felt as though I was on a lump of potatoes, divots everywhere. The bathroom was a bathroom, the toilet worked, the paint was peeling and the tiles broken. The shower was old but still a shower.

The first night there we wanted to get something to eat at the Grill Bar, but it was closed. The pool was probably the best feature until a rowdy group(20-25 yoa) came in and then we ended up on the beach with the kids. That sucks because I wanted the pool for the kids and couldn't use it. The hotel smelled and was completely outdated. Completely awful.

I don't even know where to begin when describing this DUMP!! I wish my only complaint is that nothing has been repaired, replaced or updated since this place was built. Pealing paint, rusted faucets and stained towels with holes are the least of it. This place is like a crack house. When we checked in, we had to leave a twenty dollar deposit in order to get the remote for the tv. By the way we paid $313.00 for one night. The only elevator to the 4th floor is a service elevator which smell like a dumpster. As we were attempting to get to our room we had to climb over the garbage of the other people who were stay there. Pizza boxes, beer & liquor bottles, bags with garbage even dirty underwear .Intoxicated guests where outside & we had to squeeze past them to get to our room(and this is before we even entered the room) The room itself smelled disgusting. My children (6 & 7yrs. old) took of there sandals, walked on the carpet for literally 5 minutes & the bottom of their feet were black. We left & went to the boardwalk & when we returned there were more liquor bottles, trash & intoxicated guests that we had to walk past to get to our room. I felt like I was walking through a group of prisoners who hadn't seen a woman in 20 years because they were hitting on me as I walked by with my children & my 68 yr old mom. As we were getting ready for bed we found 2 ROACHES!! We put our beach towels on the bed so we didn't touch the comforter & pillows. I didn't sleep all night & couldn't wait to check out. At midnight we even considered sleeping in the car, but the kids just fell asleep. I don't know how they are allowed to stay open with these unsanitary conditions, never mind charging over $300.00. I couldn't wait to get home & give everyone a hot shower.

Coming from Southern Africa, we were amazed at the way American people live. We have never seen such things as at this palace. The grounds are larger than our entire village. The only thing missing was the crap throwing monkeys. Long live America!!!

We booked a two room suite for two nights only. It was not the nicest of rooms but it was located on the ground level right next to the mini golf and swimming pool. I don't spend a lot of time in my hotel room while I'm on vacation anyway so as long as the beds are comfortable, I'm good. You walked right out onto the beach which was really nice. Nice beach...maybe the best I've seen in Jersey. The staff were very nice and accommodating. As long as you don't care if the room is a five star, this is the place for you. Great spot for young families.
