“Overpriced and average.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

My family and I booked a room at the South Beach Building 702 in mid August 2013. The grounds were attractive and seemed clean. The amenities were not bad. Pools nice and clean for the most part for the exception of having quite a bit of leaves in some of them. The big problem was the condo. First we discovered that the unit which was clearly advertised as having internet access and was the main reason we choose it did not have it. We searched for a modem or router or a WiFi ID specifically associated with the unit and there was none. We called the office and complained and were first told to use the free (UNSECURED) WiFi in the lobby, to which I said no thanks and explained the unit was advertised to have internet and that is what I paid for. At which point they said they would send a maintenance person to come help us. What we got was some kid with a 2 way radio who walked around the unit looking for a modem which we explained we already did. No surprise he found nothing and told us he would inform the office and they would calls us. The office called and told us they would contact the owner of the condo. after some time passed we received another call from the office telling us that the owner did not offer internet access but since they included it in the advert if decided to come down to the office and complain we would receive some sort of compensation. For the rest of the week I was forced to use my cell phone as a hotspot incurring high charges for going over the data plan mostly because of the extremely poor cell phone reception we received in the unit, and we were on the 7th floor.

Next we discovered some serious safety issues with the unit. We have a 2.5 year old and as I was setting up my son's room I discovered the window in his room to be open with no gate, no screen and to top it off the locks for the windows were not installed properly and would not lock. Who in their right mind rents to people that might have kids with them and not make sure the windows lock properly especially in a 7th floor unit?! Luckily I have a small tool set in my car and was able to fix the problem and get the windows to lock properly. It seemed that every window and even the main balcony door suffered from locking issues. Another issue was the beds. They were extremely HARD, creaky and uncomfortable. It was so bad my wife and I alternated sleeping on the sofa just to try and get some sleep. Also if you like a dark room to sleep you are out of luck in this unit especially since the balcony lights stay on all night and the window coverings do little to block any light. Another issue was the walls were a bit thin as I could here a dog barking in the unit below, and the dog barked all week and sometimes late at night which kept my son up a couples of time as it was loudest in his room. Lastly parking in the underground parking lot is hit or miss since there is no assigned parking some space are clearly better than others and some can damage your SUV if your rear door opens upwards as their are spaces with cement cross sections which come down so low you door will slam into them. The garage only has a 6 foot 3 inch clearance. I don't think my family and I will be renting from this place again as it the condo was overpriced and the quality was not great.

Room Tip: Confirm in room internet access. Check the window locks in your units.

stayed in the garden building (213) in mid-august for the first time at seapointe village.

overall, the amenities and grounds are very nice, clean and well maintained... but you are paying a lot of $$ to stay here and in my opinion, its really NOT worth the price at the end of the day... a regular condo with a pool and close to the beach for 1/2 the price would work just fine, the "upgrade" to this "resort" isnt really worth it.

the private beach is great - sand was soft and water was very clean. did not rent chairs or buy any snacks so cant comment on the prices...

all of the pools were clean and had plenty of chairs, tables and umbrellas for all. some pools are more crowded then others so you have to find the one that you like... we tried them all!

the doors to all buildings are locked and you need a key - or a key code - we were having issues with our keys, you had to try 3-4 times and really wiggle them to get the door open... not fun when trying to push a stroller and carry pool/beach stuff. we asked about the keypad in the office and Mickey lied directly to my face and said the Garden building didnt have a code... we saw people using a code from the moment we arrived so i'm not sure why she lied... but we simply asked another guest who willingly gave us the code right away and we used that for the rest of our stay.

our unit was as clean as expected but the furniture in the bedrooms was way out of date and the tvs in each bedroom were smaller than the size of a laptop screen... thank goodness the living room had a tv from the 2000's (large flatscreen) HOWEVER the dvd player DID NOT WORK. we reported this to the office who sent maintenance who left a note that said you had to turn the dvd player on to use it... REALLY? wow, dont you think we tried that? it powered on but when you pressed open/close nothing happened so you couldnt get a dvd in there. trust me, we tried several times and have small kids who watch dvds daily so we are quite familiar with how to operate a dvd player... needless to say, no movies for the kids which some might think is no big deal, but tell that to my toy story fanatic son!

internet/wifi access is a JOKE! our unit didnt have wifi which is fine b/c all the buildings have wifi in the lobby, right? well the garden building wifi was ALWAYS inoperable. i overheard some residents discussing it in the lobby (one of the residents was actually the president of their condo association) so this is clearly a known issue that they dont bother to fix. ALSO cell phone reception is horrible... we have iphones, one AT&T and one Verizon... neither worked in the condo and only one worked outside on the balcony... i had to leave seapointe village to use my phone...

called the office to speak to rosalie for info on discount tickets for morey's piers as she is listed as the contact for this information... she was "at lunch" and no one else could answer any questions so had to wait for her to return. she returned and i got her on the phone BUT she wasnt at her desk so she couldnt answer my simple question -- what is the discount price for the rides wristband? -- she had NO CLUE b/c she didnt have the info in front of her.

there are very few restaurants and activities in walking distance so be prepared to be in and out of your car when you need to go places.

we will not be going back to seapointe village - there are TONS of cheaper alternatives with great pools and beach access... which are also closer to parks, activities and places to eat.

Room Tip: we had a family with kids above us and it sounded like the kids were running laps the ENTIRE time we...

We didn't know really what to expect and this far exceeded our hopes. The place is just beautiful-gorgeous landscaping, meticulously kept grounds, and stunning pools. Our room in the Garden apartments is great. Love the smaller feel of the building. Not a lot of noise in the hallways etc. beach is so close to walk to. The kids love everything! The waterside, the playground, the pool with the bubbling water and of course the beach which is beautiful. We got marshmallows and roasted them on the bonfire they make in the evening by one of the pools-kids loved it as did we:) we want to book already for next year!!!

A weeks vacation with the family at Wildwood Crest. We booked at Seapointe Village after checking reviews on Tripadvisor. Can't get much better for a family vacation. We stayed at Center Court as that us what was recommended for families. Pool (indoor/outdoor), basketball, tennis, play area are right outside your door. Numerous gas BBQ around property as well as around pool area for all to use. Beach is a short walk away with a convienant snack shack there. Numerous other pools scattered all over the property, my kids wanted to go in all of them everyday.
The staff is super friendly and are always cleaning and making sure grounds are clean. Boardwalk is a short ride down the beach. Cape May is a quick car ride away as well. Lots if options to eat in or go out. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a really relaxing place to vacation that was also family friendly. It's not easy (or fun) to hop on a plane with 3 little ones to your favorite island, so going to the Jersey Shore was our alternative. We weren't expecting too much, but at least we were on vacation. We were completely blown away from the moment we arrived at the main entrance to Seapointe Village! It looked like a beachfront resort that you'd find in Florida. The grounds are beautiful, the pools are great, the beach is so clean! It's situated away from all of the Wildwood hotels & Boardwalk so it's very quiet. There was so much for the kids to do, although they never wanted to leave the kiddie pools. Our condo was perfect for us with a balcony overlooking the ocean & pools. We had heard mixed reviews about the Wildwood area & Boardwalk but they couldn't have been more wrong! We visited the Boardwalk several times & it was clean & safe. Cape May was just 10 minutes away so we went there for dinner a few nights. Seapointe is definitely a hidden gem at the Jersey Shore & we will be returning here for many years to come.

This is an amazing resort! Pools, pools, pools. Plus hot tubs, indoor pool, tennis courts, playground, basketball courts and private beach with snack stand. Staff is excellent! They are constantly cleaning the premises, testing and cleaning the pools and tending to the landscaping. VERY clean, VERY family friendly. They even have a fire pit with Adirondack chairs all around. Families come with kiddies around 7:30/8 to make s'mores. Bring your bikes, skooters, skate boards, running shoes, etc! Resident families and visitors all seemed to be kind and welcoming. I had no problems with it, but even though the beach is very convenient to get to, this end of Wildwood tends to have very wide beaches so be prepared to walk pretty far to get to the water. However, Seapointe has boardwalks for quite a ways, making it much easier to get to. Highly recommended!!!

My family and I have been vacationing at Seapointe every summer for 10 years. We stay in the Garden building. It is more quiet than the North, South, and Pinnacle buildings and feels much cozier, where as the buildings closer to the beach feel more like a hotel. We love the private beach. In my opinion, Diamond Beach is the best beach along the Jersey shore. The beach is very wide and the sand is so soft and clean. The amenities that are available are fantastic. Tennis courts, basketball hoops, playground, several outdoor pools and hot tubs, an indoor pool, waterslide, and fire pit at night to roast marshmellows! Also, a gym located in the Pinnacle building. The gym is small but I have never seen it busy since most people tend to exercise outdoors when the weather is nice. The location is great also. We spend most of our time shopping and dining in Cape May since it is a short drive into town and it is also a short drive (3 miles) to the Wildwood boardwalk as well. Overall, the Jersey shore doesn't get any better than this!
