“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

In Wildwood, all the hotels and motels are mom and pop, so there are no chains, although I saw a Days Inn, which I thought was weird. It is situated away from all of the hotels and 2 miles from the boardwalk, which I liked, as there were less crowds. The staff is very courteous and is dedicated to making your stay amazing. The hotel is spotless. It is so clean and kept up/maintained amazingly. Every room has an ocean view, so there is no bad view. Yes, the room is a bit outdated, but that doesn't really matter because it is clean. The snack bar is nice, and the pool is great. Perfect size and kept up well. The beds are pretty comfortable, too. The balcony we had was great, perfect size. Good rate too for the room. If ever back in Wildwood Crest, will certainly come back!

I've stayed at this hotel for many years and stayed for 7 nights again this summer. We had a great time again this year but I have to say the hotel is in need of some updating. The beds are so uncomfortable that sleeping wasn't a pleasant experience. Also, it's just starting to look run down, dated. The pool is too small and too shallow for the size of the hotel but I know that can't be changed. We ended up spending our second vacation of the summer at the Icona a few blocks away and what a difference. It was new, updated, beautiful pool, great food and more comfortable beds. If Reges is going to charge the rates they do, they have to update and make it a more pleasant and luxurious stay. WiFi is also terrible and you can't get service on 7th and 8th floors, forcing you to go to the lobby whenever you need to use your laptop. Please update and we'll be back!

My teenage daughter and I spent 2 nights at the Reges in July for some "girls' time." Our family are frequent visitors to Wildwood Crest and Diamond Beach resorts. This was our first visit to the Reges. The check-in process was rather inefficient and took too long considering there was nobody in line ahead of us. The staff members were very nice throughout our stay. We stayed in their basic hotel room with 2 queen beds. The room was immaculate and comfortable. It did not have "the smell" - you know what I mean. This was a really nice room. The air conditioning was quiet and temperature was evenly controlled. The sink was outside of the bathroom which we liked. The view was fabulous even from the 3rd floor. Beach access was very easy.
The Reges Cafe was superb in every way (breakfast and lunch) and we will definitely go back there even if we don't stay at the hotel. Cafe food and staff are excellent. The menu has so many delicious choices, from healthy to decadent. The food was fresh and tasty. I had a turkey burger that was surprisingly flavorful and juicy. Reasonable prices too.
Okay, so back to the hotel. My greatest disappointment, and the reason I assign only and Average value, was the "hospitality" area. This was where I was directed by the front desk when I asked how do they accommodate guests who have checked out but want to go to the beach for their last day. There was only a large bathroom with a toilet and sink. There was no shower or even a bench to sit on. It was shabby and kind of musty smelling. We felt like we were robbed of our last day (we were only there for 2 nights) because there was no decent changing area. My advice to the management is to check out the hospitality area at the Pan American. They have clean, modern showers/changing rooms and they even stock it with towels and toiletries. Now THAT's hospitality! I feel like we were robbed of our last day for this reason. The place is not cheap, it cost about $300 with tax per night for this basic room.
Reges also needs to spiff up the outdoor shower area, it is a narrow strip of concrete and you need to squeeze around people waiting in line at the pickup area for the snack bar in back. It was challenging sometimes to shower off back there.
There is also a game room but it is in need of renovation. And a nice Weber gas grill that needed a cleaning when I looked at it. I didn't see anyone use it while I was there.
So overall, we did love the Reges Resort for its clean, comfortable rooms, oceanfront views, its superb cafe and its lovely beach, but I'm not sure we would go back because, for the money, we would like to be able to make the most of our last day, especially during short stays.
But we will definitely be back to the Reges Cafe!!!

We have been going to the Reges for several years, and we love it. The staff works hard to make sure that your stay is the best that it can be. It is very clean, and the housekeeping is wonderful! Maria was such a sweetheart, and did a great job taking care of our room. The view from the rooms is awesome, as you can look out and watch the dolphins swimming by, morning, afternoon, and night. We have stayed at other places in the crest, and like this resort the best. We love being deep in the crest, rather than down by the boardwalk. The new memory foam on the sofa bed was a great addition this year. It would be great if they added a thin layer of memory foam to most of the beds. In addition, we would also love to see the sliding glass doors, and back doors have screens in them, so that you could leave them open at night. We would turn the A/C off more often if we could keep the doors open, as the breeze is great when the doors are open! There was an air conditioner failure when we were there, but they went out of their way to compensate us for it. We will always stay at the Reges, and we are already planning our trip back for next year! Well done Reges!

Annual Girls Getaway
Sure hope we picked the right hotel. Not happy with the review of the AC not working. Hoping they put us on a higher floor so we can appreciate the view. Hard to pick a hotel without knowing the area:) Had to rate to post, I will update when we get home:)
Anyone have any recommendations of restaurants and night life other than the boardwalk.

Our family stayed at the Reges for 3 nights. The rooms were oceanfront and maintained well. Clean. So were the grounds. The service was very good. No mildew or cracked tiles in the room. The cafe was very good for breakfast. We loved the Reges eggs benedict and strawberry waffle special. Everyone wore their clothes in public indoor places (lobby, cafe). The scene was relaxed. We hope to go back. Wildwood crest have grest very soft sand and great low boogie boarding waves.Reges is a nice find.

WOW! What a great resort to stay at and worth the drive from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Staff was great and bent over backwards to cater to our needs. Everything about the room was fantastic with a great view of the ocean. Although our 7 day stay in September 2012 was too short, we will definitely return for at least 2-3 weeks for sure - Loved It. It is a perfect resort to spend a vacation.
