“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

This is our second stay at Summer Sands. We have really enjoyed the location and family atmosphere at this complex. The property management company is always visible and the resort is very clean and cared for.
The condo is directly on the beach, surrounded by other family oriented condos. There are 4 floors and all the units are connected by breezeways. There are also 2 swimming pools and several sun decks. This is a very safe area at all times and the facilities never seem over-crowded.
We stayed in unit 200, a newly decorated 1 bedroom unit in a quiet corner of the resort with very convenient access and parking. Our unit was recently decorated and everything was brand new with modern furniture and great use of space. The owner thought of everything that you could need including wine glasses which we thought was a great perk. We had actually packed a pair of wine glasses thinking that we would need them. The owner was very responsive to all our questions and we would definitely rent at Summer Sands and unit 200 again.

Room Tip: There are only a few units that are oceanfront, all units are connected by a breezeway, there are no...

We are long time Crest vacationers, but this was first time in a condo. We rented unit 205 which is 'sunset view' and overlooks the pool. it was extremely close to the tables and chair sun deck which was convneineunt for cofee and reading newspaper in the am and dinner in the pm. Our unit was adorable, all decorated in a flip flop theme. EVERYTHING from the fan pulls, to the menu holder, to the drawer pulls, to mirrors and clocks and even the couch were in this brightly colored vacation oriented theme. Great care went into decorating! The kitchen had everything you could need or didn't think you might need, like a brownie pan that fit perfectly in the mini oven, plastic wine glasses, perfectly matched and coordinated dishes. plenty of silverware.and serviing utensils, and serving bowls and platters. The bedroom was great.Really nice thick new comfortable queen size bed and enough dressers for two. Everything seemed new or like new, not like a used worn out motel room. It was very homey!

Steps below were the grills, meticulously kept clean by the Summer SAnds staff. Overall all the staff worked hard to clean their areas, the pool was done twice a day, the steps were swept from sand twice a day as well. Deborah in the office is a wealth of info, from suggesting restaurnts, or shopping.and was always friendly when i popped in. SHe was under extreme pressure when the island was forced to be evacuated beffore HUrrican Irene yet she kept her cool and worked well under pressure, keeping everyone informed. I observed her and the staff taking all the precautions necessary for the storm. and was impressed with their committment.
no complaints about the Summer Sands and hope to return this summer to a unit with an ocean view.

Room Tip: the higher the number the closer to the beach (224 is ocean front; 201 is sunset view overlooking pa...

This summer was our first with our baby. We wanted to try something different and decided Wildwood was the choice. We stayed at Summer Sands unit #222. This turned out to be an amazing vacation. The condo is directly on the beach and there is a nice veranda right outside the front door. The staff at the front office were helpful and the amenities are excellent. We brought groceries and used the kitchen and outdoor grills for a few of our meals.

The condo is very clean and well kept.

The location is perfect. Right on the beach and midway between the pier and Cape May.

I would definitly suggest this for couples as well as families with small children (our son was 8 months at the time).

The owners were great to deal with and even surprised us with a treat upon arrival. We look forward to going back.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, Unit #312, condo. The unit was immaculately clean. We stayed with two 15 year old teenagers. The bedrooms are separated by the living room and kitchen, so there is plenty of privacy for two couples, etc. The location was great...we took the trolley to the Wildwood Boardwalk, (the trolley picked you up and drops you off at the corner). The beach is down the stairs, and you are on the beach. Very family oriented area, centrally located. Cape May is ten miles away...and there are good restaurants everywhere. I had never been a fan of the Jersey Shore, but I am hooked now. We WILL be back hopefully to vacation here again. I would highly recommend.

I have been to Wildwood Crest a few times, but this was the best by far. We stayed in unit 304 and had 6 people in the room. My whole family loved it! The owners of the unit are wonderful people and I would highly recommend staying there!

We stayed at Summer Sands from July 4th-July 10th and had a fabulous time. The two pools are a great attraction, particularly for families with children of younger ages or those who prefer pools to the beach. Of the two pools at Summer Sands, the smaller of the two is more shallow and warmer, FYI. That said, the beach is literally 50 yards away from the condos at Summer Sands, and the kids had a wonderful time playing on the white sand beaches at Wildwood Crest right at the condos. Those staying at the condos should be sure to take advantage of the front office who can provide all kinds of brochures and information and even free coffee in the AM for the adults and candy for the kids! We loved Summer Sands for all the amenities they provided including the 4 gas grills running 24 hours a day to cook meals, the beach chairs around the pools and around all of our rooms, and all of the little extras that made our beach vacation to Wildwood Crest so special. We would go back there in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Summer Sands Condos for memorial day wkd. The condos are in an excellent location close to Cape May and also to the boardwalk and many restaurants. You are literally steps to the beach. We have stayed at many places in Wildwood Crest and Wildwood but this was by far our favorite. We will surely return. We had a one bedroom condo with an ovean view. It had an nicely furnished beachy theme. Very cute! There was a king size bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. We did'nt use the sofa bed because there was only 2 of us. The kitchen was well equipped but no oven only a two burner stove but we didnt cook anyway. There are also a bunch of gas grills for your use which we saw a bunch of people using. 2 pools and I believe 5 sundecks which had loungers and tables for you to eat. Great place and we will surely return. We rented unit 408. Very nice and clean!
