If you are not familiar with Wildwood, be aware that Wildwood motels, for the most part, are typically low end and no frills. That being said, the Caprice is a good option. I go to Wildwood for a weekend in October every year for an annual event. We tried several other motels before settling on the Caprice.

It is well located 1 block from the beach and boardwalk, and approximately 2 blocks from the Convention Center.

There are 2 types of rooms – with and without a kitchen. I always stay in the room without a kitchen. These rooms have a small refrigerator and a microwave. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 small bathroom. Both bedrooms have televisions.

The bathrooms are old and the towels are very thin.

Be aware that this motel has 3 levels and no elevator. If you cannot walk up a full flight of stairs, get a unit on the ground level.

I found the front desk to be very helpful and accommodating.

We had a *D* Unit a King with a Queen Bed. The AC from hell as it was so loud we couldn't sleep, it was like having a jet in the room with you!... so we opened the small window in the room. What we didn't expect from the pictures posted, plus the owner did not mention was we were located right behind the Eckherd Pharmacy which is open 24 hours so we were hearing loading trucks and trash trucks @ 3-5AM! Then to make matters even worse, people pulling up thru the Pharmacy drive thru at all hours of the night as the driveway was right next to our window! We cut our long awaited vacation short by 3 days! We just couldn't stand it anymore...no sleep. I will say it is located close to the beach entrance and that to me was the only plus...and the Jersey shore is lovely. I regret staying at the Caprice and no refund was offered.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Caprice. It is what it is - a beach motel. If you keep this in mind, you won't really be disappointed. The staff was great, and the rooms were clean enough. Our biggest complaint were the towels. They are small and thin, and once the kids got sunburned, it hurt to use them -- we used the hair dryer to dry ourselves after showering!!!

We will definitely stay here again -- we'll just bring our own towels.

My mother, father, sister, sister's boy friend and I, went down to Wildwood 3 time in 2006. June- July- August. We stayed at the "Binn's Motor Inn" in June, DONT STAY THERE!, the "Stardust" in July. The stardust was a cute hotel, a good value. and then the "Caprice" in August. We had a "C" unit, with the 3 beds and pull out couch. It was one of the greatest motels i've ever stayed in. Sure it's no Hilton, but it is a lovely hotel. The staff was very friendly. I definitly didn't hate the closr proximaty to the boardwalk, beach, etc. This is a wonderful place to stay, if planning to go to Wildwood. One problem, it takes a while for A/C to kick into gear. BUt when it does, it's freezing!! We are coming back in June of '07
