My sweetie and I had a delicious dinner at Groff’s Restaurant during our June vacation at the beach this year. As I have done for more than 30 years, I ordered the New England Clam Chowder as my appetizer.
Last year I was disappointed with the chowder – it seemed too watery and the recipe had changed. This year I am delighted to report that the New England Clam Chowder was amazing! Hot, delicious, creamy, with lots of clams. The 2013 season marks the second season since the departure of Earl Groff, and I’m pleased to see the restaurant is off to a great start.
My sweetie and I both ordered the turkey dinners, which come with Groff’s famous potato stuffing – unlike any stuffing you can get anywhere else. The dinner was awesome. Our waitress, Ashley, did an outstanding job and took good care of us during our dinner.
No Groff’s dinner would be complete without a slice of that incredible, homemade pie. Unfortunately, we were both too stuffed from dinner, so we passed on the dessert. Maybe next time.
We will be back again for another great dinner at Groff’s. Very highly recommended!
