As we stayed recently, in the snow. I can't review the outside amenities. I will say the location is great. No vehicle necessary in the summer if you stay here. Walk to beach, stores, restaurants. The 50's decor is cool, but it can't hide the fact that it's old. They did a good job covering it up but it's still there, it is an old place. I did not have a room with a flat screen, I had an old 32in tv that for some reason randomly changed the channels on its own every once in a while. The air conditioner/heater was an ancient unit under the window that is loud. Really loud. The beds are awful. Tiny and uncomfortable. Walls are paper thin. The place was clean though, and during the summer, to be that close to the beach, I think this hotel would be more than adequate for that alone. The kicker for me was when I went to take a shower and the water ran orange for about 30 seconds before it cleared. Maybe an off season issue? Don't know, but I didn't like it.

I fly into the NY/NJ area always in the fall to visit mom, see the foliage, and head to our traditional summer stomping grounds off season. What a find we have found with the Starlux! A classic doo wop, with all the modern amenities, it has become our favorite place to stay off season, and must be wonderful during season as well!

The staff treats us like family, is very courteous and accommodating. It's like visiting with family when we arrive! Located at the end of Rio Grand, it is close to all the places we want to see and visit. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at the StarLux. After problems with our first stay, Gordon Clark invited us back and provided a 2 room suite. The suite was very clean and suitable. The suite had 2 TV's and a small kitchenette. My son said the sofa bed in the living room was very confortable. The hotel's decor is kinda of beachy-art deco with a 50's/60's twist. It definately is a cool place and the hotel's exterior can not be missed as you approach.

From the moment we checked in until our departure we felt welcomed and we had a great time. The hotel is very close to the boardwalk and you can easily walk to the beach. The front desk sells amusement pier passes at a discount and we purchased these to use. This gave us access to the rides and waterparks.

The whole Wildwood area is full of small local hotels with only a few national chains and the StarLux appears to be above the rest. I would gladly stay there again and hopefully will in the future. Thanks to Gordon Clark we gave the StarLux a second chance and it paid off. Great Beach Weekend!!

This hotel is so cool. The rooms were modest in size but clean with an up dated bathroom. Loved the pool and hottub. Enjoyed the pool table as well although they did not have any chalk for the cue sticks. The employees were more than willing to help with any questions. Only reason I did not give it an excellant star rating is that the continental breakfast was REALLY basic...muffins and donuts. I would like to have seen something a little healthier like whole grain bagels or bran muffins.
