My family and my brother and his family were leaving Wildwood after a 5 day stay and needed a place to eat breakfast after checking out of our hotel. We left late, around 10:35 AM and drove around thinking we will find a place in no time. Well, it was Saturday morning. We drove around in two separate large trucks-SUV's and were still without a place to eat for 45 minutes! We even drove into the crest! We couldn't believe the lines out the doors of all these places and the lack of parking for our oversized vehicles. We were starving. Finally it was 11:30 AM and after backtracking, we stopped at the Hot Spot Diner and they were very quick to accomodate our party of 7. We all wanted breakfast and boy what a meal we got. The breakfast was perfect. I ordered a traditional two egg plate which came with bacon, toast, and grits! (An old southern past time our NC born dad used to give us when we were little) And grits are not usually found in most NJ spots. My daughters ordered pancakes, sausage, and eggs and everything tasted phenomenal. Everyone ate everything on their plate and felt so satisfied. It really made a big difference in our last day to have a filling meal before we got back on the road. And there was enough parking for both our SUV'S! The waiter seating us was very nice and the waitress was in a bit of a hurry and had to keep coming back to get us started since we arrived separately. The dining room was a bit small, but it felt like home as if you were in a personal kitchen in someone's house. What an awesome place to eat!
