I LOVE this place!! The owners are so nice! The place is spotless every year. The owners really take pride in this place. It is a great place to visit with your family for vacation. It is clean and right near the convention center. I come to this hotel every summer!!!!

Room was very clean, just like everyone has said;-))) Hotel is very close to the Convention Center and the boardwalk....easy to walk up to. It is a very long walk from boardwalk to water's edge, however(as are all the hotels).....There are 2 very nice breakfast spots half a block away~Uncle Bill's & Key West-both had great food. Uncle Bills was a lil overpriced, but if you say you stayed at Le Voy you get 5 or 10% off(cant recall)......We stayed in a bigger unit # 303 ~ back room had 2 beds; 1 double & 1 twin-had a window A/C unit that worked great...The front room had a full size fridge and a queen-size bed, the only negative was there was a rickety fan over the bed. Drove me nuts the first night;-(

Very clean, very comfortable, very nice/clean pool, family owner/operated and they are intimately involved in the day to day operations, they're so friendly and on a first name basis with every guest and always making sure we have everything we need. I wish I discovered this hotel years ago. Only 2 blocks from the Convention Center at the southern end of the boardwalk so easy for young kids to walk to the beach or boardwalk. Very reasonable rates. We will absolutely be back.

We have been staying at Le Voyageur for the past 20 years. The owners are wonderful and they make sure that you are enjoying your stay. The location is very nice. It isn't on a busy street and it is close to the beach and baordwalk. The pool is the cleanest we have ever seen. It is heated and it is cleaned very often during our week stay. The decks are very nice for family meals and playing games. There is no other place my family would rather stay while we are in Wildwood.

A word to the travel worn and weary - if you're tired of dirty hotels run by equally shady owners, this hotel will be A RELIEF to you. We stayed there a few weeks ago over Memorial Day weekend and had an extremely pleasant time. Actually, we found this hotel around 5 years ago, and have been regulars since, coming once or twice each season.

Dennis and Grace, the owners, are hands on. You can always find them about the property doing something to maintain the hotel. Dennis is a retired NYC Police Officer, who retired to the hotel life some years ago.

The hotel is a vintage 1950'60s Doo-wop motel, with the original bathroom fixtures in each room. But do not worry, they look brand new, because Dennis and Grace keep them impeccably clean. I kid you not - I have never seen such vintage stuff kept brand new looking! It would not be an exaggeration to say that you could eat off the bathroom floors- yes, they are completely spotless, as is all the grout between the tiles, and everything else in the hotel .

Location:

It's one block away from the boardwalk, which isn't a big deal to us. Wildwood is a walking town anyway, so put on your sandals and walk a block to the boardwalk and beach! However, if you're the lazy type, you can also drive to the boardwalk. It is also within a block of several great restaurants and a few bars - so you can walk out for breakfast, lunch, etc...

Rules:

If you're not familiar with Wildwood, every hotel seems to have posted rules around the hotel floors and pool area. This hotel is no exception to that rule. In fact, this is one of the reasons you'll like the hotel. Their rules are strictly enforced, which makes for a nice, relaxing vacation. You won't find unsavory types here or the teenybopper/twenty-something crowd doing shots on the balcony in this place - it wouldn't be tolerated for a minute. This is a really well run, nice family resort, where you can feel safe with your family and confident knowing that the hotel is clean and well run.

Had to stay in Wildwood for a short business trip with my husband, and booked the La Voyageur as my brother and sister in law just happened to be there for a convention. What luck on our part! This is like a Disney reproduction Jersey Shore Motel from the "60's! Just immaculate! My husband is a contractor and he was stunned to see a '60's period bathroom sink that looked like it just came from the plumbing showroom! Dennis, the owner credits his "bartender's friend" cleaning agent with keeping all the tiles in "right out of the carton" condition. Bravo, Dennis! He's busy all day, always in motion keeping everything in tip top shape. Yes, he watches everything.... that's wonderful... and his return visitors... like my brother and his convention pals... love the guy and his wife, Grace, who treat everyone like guests, not customers. You will feel safe at this hotel, and the location is great.... a block from the Key West Cafe (charming! friendly! great breakfasts! good prices!)... and the Cork and Bottle is around the corner... as are other restaurants... all seem to have the friendliest servers ever! We were there in early June; the weather was great, the motel was terrific, the restaurants were friendly with good food not overpriced. We'll be going back now each year when my brother does.

My family and I have gone to the LeVoyageur for the past 21 years! We have made it our go to vacation spot. Last year we didn't get to go on vacation due to a family wedding and I have to say the fact that we are going back in 2 months makes us all crazy to get back. We love it there. The atmosphere, the people, the beach, the city of wildwood, THE HEATED POOL! Just everything about the Le Voyageur makes it a perfect place to have a family vacation. Yeah the rooms can be a little snug for a family of 5 but we've found its perfect for getting that close family oriented vacation. Besides the comfort and quality of the rooms makes up for the size totally. I recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone all year round. This hotel has given us lifelong friends, countless memories and one week a year we get to have the most relaxing time of our life!
