“Nice hotel, nice views!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

We stayed here mid-September for one night and it was nice. We had a lovely room, a suite, and it was comfy, roomy and very nice. Views are great and travel from NYC is easy using the ferry, which docks right at the hotel!

We had a short notice opportunity to visit New York from the UK for the day and joined friends at this hotel for 2 nights.

The location is fantastic for an off Manhattan location. There is a ferry point literally just outside of the hotel and the bus transits between the Port Authority Bus Station and the hotel regularly.

The hotel room was comfortable if not a little on the tired side, but to be honest it was difficult to fault. The bed was fantastic; very comfortable, and just what was needed for weary bodies.

We had what was termed as a Partial City view but to be honest you could be mistaken for thinking that it was a full city view! we could see from the tip of Manhattan to almost the Rockefeller Center.

There is a restaurant at the hotel although we didn't use it, it looked good though, although if you are tripping into New York I'm sure that you would rather eat there.

I would certainly recommend this hotel for convenience and comfort.

One note that is worth being aware of is if you return to the hotel using the bus service. I admit that I am not familiar with the complexities of using busses anywhere in the world so to a more seasoned bus rider this might not be relevant, however the Port Authority Bus Terminal is not well signposted and it took us nearly 3 attempts to find the right stop; not welcome late in the evening I can assure you. Unless you absolutely know where you need to get the bus I suggest that you ask at the information desk. Be aware that the bus stops seem to change as the night passes too! If any one from the Port Authority is reading this then please consider that your system is confusing!!!

Got here very late probably very early morning. Nice people nothing bad nothing special your typical Sheraton Get the Manhattan view totally make it worth staying here had Breakfast at the lobby eatery was good. the indoor pool was nice. very close to transit and ferry. a tiny walk you get a Houlihan's they give you a discount if you are staying here what is nice but not on property. parking $25 what is cheap for self parking in NYC area.

Room Tip: Get the full manhattan view rooms for the biggest bang for your buck.

its a pretty old hotel and the rooms are small but neat and clean. the good thing is the easy access to manhattan. The bus stops almost in front of the hotel and takes about 5-10 minutes to reach the port authority terminal.

the restaurant in the ground floor serves good italian food which is also value for money.

the main reason which i book this hotel was the manhattan view. the hotel have an amazing view to the manhattan skyline and you can watch the sunrise behind the skyline.

Room Tip: always choose a room in the higher floor with manhattan view.

I stayed here for one night because all of the hotels in Manhattan were booked for the UN General Assembly. I arrived around 11pm and check-in was quick and easy. The room was fine, a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. I would not suggest paying for club access. The breakfast consisted of muffins, cereal, and croissants along with orange juice, coffee, and milk. The ferry is steps from the hotel, which makes getting into Manhattan pretty easy. They sell ferry tickets at the front desk. I found the staff pleasant and helpful. No real complaints, but nothing to be impressed with either.

To visit New York City, my family has stayed here twice. The convenience of the ferry cannot be overemphasized. It is the easiest way to get to the island, and leaves right outside the hotel. The restaurant is good, and the nearby restaurants, chain restaurants, and stores are convenient.
