We had a late business lunch somewhere else in downtown Toms River, then my host suggested we have coffee and dessert at The Cookie Cab. Got there at a slow time ... about 2:30 PM. We shared an assortment of chocolate-covered cheesecake bits (Yum!) and coffee.
I didn't really know what to make of this place since it bills itself as a "bakery and cafe." I asked the two owners (one the baker and the other the cook), and they showed us their full menu. I was surprised to see a Muffeletta on the menu. That's from New Orleans. How did it get on a menu in New Jersey?
Next time, we'll lunch here.
