What a wonderful place to stay-600 Main is a gorgeous B&B, so quaint and full of charm. Susan & John are very personable and gracious hosts. If you get a chance to visit during the holiday season, the decorations are marvelous-surely something you won't want to miss. My husband & I wish we could have enjoyed more of the house, but our time was limited. Looking forward to returning and enjoying the afternoon tea. I highly recommend 600 Main!

With out question, there is no better place to stay in TR. My wife and I stay at 600 Main last weekend for the TRN High School Reunion. The reviews on the area hotels left a lot to be desired, so we booked the Queen Alexa room for two nights. The pictures do not do 600 Main justice. Susan and John's attention to detail cannot be beat and the are gracious hosts. We were the only guest on Friday night so we got to peak into all the accommodations. You will not go wrong or be sorry with any room choice. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have enjoyed the house more but time and schedule did not allow it. My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. 600 Main is definitely a keeper!

Room Tip: All the rooms are fabulous

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here while visiting our daughter who had recently moved here from the Midwest. This place is a delight, built in a historic landmark with five bedrooms wonderfully appointed in period pieces. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Queen Alexa room, with its massive carved wood king-sized bed frame, beautiful curtains, and a bathroom appointed in vintage tile but with a modern shower.

Check out the myriad crystal- and glassware, utensils, and other wondrous accoutrements that the proprietor, Susan, has gathered to decorate and to use as place settings.

As my wife said, it was like staying with friends. And the rates are very reasonable.

If you're looking for charm and comfort, come to 600 Main.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms would be a treat.

My husband and I stayed at 600 Main last weekend. We were attending a wedding nearby in Brick, NJ and this B & B was conveniently located about twenty minutes away. Being that I had never been to the Jersey Shore before, I wasn't sure what to expect. Susan the host was so very gracious. She was very flexible and allowed us to check in early so that we could get some rest before we went to the wedding. We stayed in the Lady Samantha room and it was beautifully appointed. We were lucky enough to get to be able to have high tea on Saturday afternoon after we checked in. High tea was very special. Susan looks after every detail and the waitress was extremely sweet. We had incredible tea out of extraordinary vintage china that Susan collected before she opened the inn. The crustless sandwiches, soup, salad and scones were all to die for. The rooms are well appointed with comfy robes, towels, and bed linens. The whole hotel is out of a different time. We were able to relax, decompress and enjoy ourselves. Also, the whole stay was very affordable for how luxurious our experience was. I would highly recommend a stay at 600 Main. The place is a diamond in the ruff.

Room Tip: We had a nice stay in Lady Samantha. The room was very bright.

This is a beautiful mansion with a lot of history and charm. It's clean, welcoming, and the staff are very helpful. My husband and I came during a stressful time and this place was a true comfort for us! Susan was especially genuine and fun, and a great host! Our room, Lady Samantha, was elegant and comfortable. Breakfast was relaxing and thoughtfully presented, and of course, delicious. The tea options available are impressive! I'm very happy to have found this gem and happy to have met Susan and her husband!

Just returned from overnight stay with John and Susan graciously acting as hosts. We stayed in the "Queen Alexa" oversized room with king bed, two sofas, rocking chair, and corner sitting area. There was a tub and a walk-in shower with main head and 3 jets. Our friends stayed in"Princess Victoria" with king bed and two chairs with walk in shower same as above. This is a "home away from home atmosphere"- warm and friendly. Our breakfast was fresh and delicious and Susan even whipped up a special omelet that had our friend grinning ear to ear. Thankfully, we stayed for the High Tea which was marvelous. This is a separate reservation and so reasonably priced ! A delight !! There is much to do in the area so we are already planning another get-away to recharge and relax. Thank you Susan and John for sharing your home and making us feel like family not guests.

Room Tip: Pictures and descriptions are accurate. AC unit very quiet.

We reserved the "Queen Alexa", a gorgeous, large and quiet room at the back of the mansion overlooking the side and back yards. All the appointments are welcoming and designed for your comfort. The beautiful architectural details of 600 Main, such as high ceilings, carved wood trim and pocket doors, were fascinating. The tea rooms are each different and lovely, and the breakfasts were unique and perfectly prepared and served.

If you are very lucky, the owner and hostess, Susan, will have a few minutes to tell you the story of how she came to own and operate 600 Main...

Room Tip: Queen Alexa is probably the quietest room, being at the 2nd floor rear and not over a public area.
