The picture of a room in this B&B room posted on TripAdvisor is really misleading. While rather pleasant-looking from the outside, with a fairly nicely well-kept exterior garden, on the inside this is an old house that is really a barebones B&B -- with old carpets, dated bathrooms details, poor insulation, water stains, uneven quality of furniture and overall generally mediocre room's appearance and functionality; e.g., our curtains were not operating properly and all the hangers were "recycled" plastic or wire affairs. Our room could use at least a good coat of fresh paint.... On the balancing side, our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The B&B is in a pretty good location in Summit, within walking distance from the main street and shops, and 3 blocks to the train station where you can find perhaps the most efficient Starbucks in the world. We had a ground-floor room with a separate sitting area, in addition to a separate suite with bedroom and bathroom, a setting that I suspect may be appealing for a longer term stay while looking for a place to buy or rent in the area. Breakfast is not this place's forte: granola bars and other prepackaged pastries, cheerios, some coffee and tea (in Styrofoam cups). We could also distinctly smell cigarettes' smoke when entering the B&B's common area --- just faintly detectable also from our room. When booking, looking at the picture on TripAdvisor, I thought we had found a little known treasure at a reasonably price. At about $100+ per night, considering the uneven overall quality? Not that cheap ...
