“good diner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

You certainly can't beat the prices or the authentic feel of this old time diner. Hubby and I both had the egg and cheese sandwich, which was refreshingly/surprisingly NOT laden with grease. It hit the spot. My father-in-law had an omelete which came with toast and home fries and the portion size was really generous! Just two things to mention: there is a noticeable stale greasy smell in the restaurant, and one of their cooks whistles incessantly, and given the small size of the place, you will hear every last note. I realize that the latter piece of information will be meaningless to most people, but if you are the type of person at all sensitive to this sort of thing, it may cause you to jump out of your skin. Think I will be inclined to try a different spot for breakfast next time I am in the area.

“Best breakfast in Summit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

The diner provides excellent food (and plenty of it) for a very reasonable price. It is always crowded, especially Sunday mornings. The pancakes are great. All of the soups are very tasty.

“TRY THE RITZ DINER IN LIVINGSTON”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Best in the area is the Ritz Diner in Livingston, New Jersey.. What makes a great diner for me is when they serve real butter and not whipped butter or that grease they call oleo. Real butter on toast separates the average from the great. The Ritz has it all.
