“Great Sammiches!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

I love this place. They got a good spread of options. Ive tried a bunch of sandwiches before and everything is top notch. The only recommendation I would make is to ask the waiter/waitress to take it easy on the extra butter. They put butter on EVERYTHING. Other than that, ill be back!

“Beer selection is good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

The food is a bit overpriced. The atmosphere is usually really exciting. Especially during sports games. There is a beer tower option is great for guys. The food is somewhat decent but people come here mostly for either the pretty girls or the beer.

“Descent pub food and beer - would go back”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

I would definitely go back. The average rating in not to indicate anything bad. The food was good, the beer was good although it made no sense that 2 people can't order a beer bong but we could order a million pints?? We ordered a few aps including wings, sliders, onion strings, and something else. The onion strings were great while hot but became very greasy as soon as they cooled off a bit, the wings were good and they mixed up the flavors in a single order which was cool, the sliders we good as well. I ordered the ribs which were tender and my buddy ordered the burger which he said was OK. They did have a lot of beers on tap but there were no great ones in the selection. I would have liked to of seen a few exotic imports or a couple high end selections on draft, not bottled selections. The service was a bit slow for the place to be empty on a Friday night but good enough. Once again I would come back, just nothing to out of your way for. Also my friend had been there a few months ago and said the menu was very different than when he went. He said the new menu was much better so consider that when reading some of the older reviews here.

“another gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Dined at the Brickhouse after suffering a loss from the Rutgers football team. This place certainly lifted our spirits. We were met by the manager, Ralph, after entering and he immediately noticed my son's Easton Soccer sweatshirt. Ralph was from a neighboring town before moving to NJ so this immediately formed a connection between us. He explained the menu in detail before we made our choices. The atmosphere is upscale casual and the addition of the outside firepit was a beautiful bonus. We will definitely go back to enjoy it in the spring time. All food was delicious however since we had tailgated before the game, our bellies were not quite empty. We chose a cheese pizza, wings, pastrami sandwich, chili and Ralph graciously gave us both a free appetizer of the soft pretzels and one of our choice, the fried calamari. Everything was very good and plentiful. The pretzels put Philly pretzels to shame! Loved the idea of the beer bongs but did not partake since there were only two of us drinking and we still had a drive home to Easton in front of us. Ralph's outstanding generosity and friendliness will definitely bring us back. As we left, he handed my daughter, a Rutger's student, $15 in gift certificates. This family you will definitely see again here!!

“Nice Casual Dinner Option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Had dinner 2 seperate times on trips out to Rutgers Univ. Nice “fun” casual atmosphere in place. Did not have long wait to be seated either visit. Couches are something different and very comfy. Great beer selection. Wait staff is friendly – service can be a little uneven at times but overall good.

Food was very good. We tried the “bleu & white chips” which were great. On 2nd visit tried the cheese and sausage app which I thought was disappointing. Great burgers. I had the pork chop dinner which was fantastic – very moist and well cooked. Was not expecting fine dining and its not. However, overall very good pub type food. Good value for dinner and drinks.
