Stayed one night when down the shore for a business trip. The property is a little dated- but the rooms are spacious.

Pros- The place was pretty clean- breakfast was plentiful (although many other guests were quite rude!)- the front desk staff was friendly.

Cons- You seem to be able to hear everything going on outside of your room as well as people in the room above you-- which is a drag. They have a "no party" policy- which is nice and probably keeps the noise down, but a family of screaming children could cost you a lot of sleep!

All in all- a decent priced place in a great location!

My husband and I were traveling down to the Atlantic City area on Friday night for a little birthday getaway, and my "usual" spots were either too expensive or not available (Seaview Marriott, Trump Marina, Hampton Inn).

So after some more research I reserved a room at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Somers Point. We are former locals of the area, but had never stayed at this property before. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is located near the Somers Point-Ocean City circle, but is nice and quiet. It is set up like a condo complex, so the buildings only have two stories and if you are looking to avoid cheesy glitz and the hubbub of thousands of other guests, this property is like a breath of fresh air.

The property offers a variety of accommodations, most with queen-sized beds. All of the units have a kitchenette, sofa, chair, etc. A room with a queen bed was all that was available on our stay, and it was quite comfortable. There are also units with fireplaces, and some that have two levels with beds and a sofabed for families traveling together.

The property offers a generous hot breakfast -- waffles made to order, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, bagels, cereal, etc. etc. The lobby of the hotel has a large fireplace and comfortable seating if you just want to hang out.

This property is only a few minutes from GSP exit 30, and it took less than 20 minutes to get to Atlantic City for a fun night out.

I definitely recommend this hotel!

This is an older residence inn. It really needs major room refurnish. The breakfast was excellent. I did not find it a good buy.
