“Meadowlands excellent option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

My first time to this region of NJ; not familiar with area. I booked this hotel due to proximity to Newark Airport and NYC. This is NOT a hotel within minutes of the airport—I have been SOOO disappointed with those options over the years—I wanted something a bit further away, but still convenient. The Hotel is as expected in this Hyatt brand. Staff was VERY helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Upper levels have a view of NYC skyline! One downside is the parking. Only about 5 spaces in front of hotel! The rest is on the 3rd floor (roof) of the adjacent parking garage. There is no elevator, so drop off your luggage at the lobby before parking your car!

We have stayed at this Hotel 3 times so far. We used to always stay in New York City however, once we discovered this hotel we could not beat the value. The rooms are very spacious and always very clean. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. It is easy to walk out the door and hop on the bus that takes you right into the city. We have also taken the shuttle and the train into the city. The bus runs until like 2 am or something so you can stay in the city for a long time if you want to. The parking at the hotel is free and the rooms are bigger at a fraction of the cost of staying in the city. They also have free continental breakfast everyday. They have bagels, cereals, yogurts, and etc...you can also order omelets and etc... if you choose to. We love this hotel and will be staying here again in the near future!!!

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have a great view of the New york city skyline and the Empire State Building. It...

Good solid Hyatt Place. Nice staff. Large suites w/ two rooms. The rooms do not have a door in between. Both rooms have a TV. Couch does fold out. Two flat TVs. Nice staff on check in.

No easy to find electrical plugs on bed side areas. No chair in the part with the bed. My room was next to the freeway but I did not notice the noise. (I moved hotels to the Courtyard down the street to be with the rest of my co workers and I did hear road noise there.)

Hotel had free breakfast with two hot offerings. This hotel had a bar and the Marriott did not. AC got the room very cold & bed had a thick comfortable.

I actually preferred this to the Marriott Courtyard but co workers are Marriott types. Will probably pick this one next time.

Nice hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms were updated and comfortable. Nice updated bathroom and shower. Excellent breakfast selection that was replenished frequently and there was plenty of seating. Breakfast traffic flowed well even when crowded. Hotel location is extremely convenient if going into NYC as the bus stop is directly across the street from the hotel. Highly recommend if you want to see NYC on a budget.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms that are close to the elevators.

This hotel is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot staying right down NYC.
There is a bus right out the front door of the hotel and you are in NYC a block from Time Square in 15min. The hotel is very nice, staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The rooms have a lot of space and have mini kitchenettes. There is complementary wifi as well as shared computers and printer. There is a complimentary hot breakfast served daily which is great!
Would definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed at Hyatt place for 3 nights. Excellent hotel reception staff, NYC bus stop in back of hotel, rooms spacious and clean and modern. Lots of restaurants and shopping within the complex. Great complimentary breakfast and free wifi and parking. Only drawback is that is you get a room close to the elevators you'll hear the swoosh of the elevators all day and night.

Room Tip: Get a room farthest from any of the elevators.

We stayed 2 nights at hyatt during our nyc trip, this hotel is very nice considering the location and value/price, and free parking is a bonus. The room is very spacious and clean, kids enjoyed the disney channel and we found some good restaurants in meadowland shopping center.

Room Tip: We had a double queen room.
