ok so this is about our prom weekend trip to the sunrise hotel in seaside heights. we stayed in there new "our babys" (as RL the owners wife would say) luxury suits. the initial check in and first day was great they were even nice enough to give us a second parking spot. on the down side was that there werent any pots and pans but that was our fault for not double checking the website. the second day is where the problems started. around 5pm the owners son came to our room and asked for me to come and talk to his father about my car. i went to them while they were having dinner and he begins to yell at me in front of other children about my car being parked at his hotel still. i showed him that i had a pass and he said it expired 10am. i didnt feel like argueing about them not telling me when the pass will exprire so i moved the car. later he ask me to come back again asking about where the parents were. i had no clue about this since i wasnt the one who made the reservations, so i asked my friend who did to come. as soon as she comes, he begins to literly yell at her and the police assigned to the hotel were even shocked at this site. he claimed that the parents told him during the reservation that they will POSSIBLY be there if we didnt get the minimum of 4 kids to go.so the owner tells me friend to have her parents call him. so the parents do and he begins to curse and yell over the phone claiming that they were trying to avoid the security deposit of $250. very unperfesional he doesnt accept a credit card and after lots of negotiation with the parents he finally does. after that we then ask what was the reason of it being brought up as if we did something wrong. he said he didnt trust us as kids and that we were imature when the officer at the hotel became a close friend of ours throught the weekend. as the conversation was going on.. a second officer brings down 4 30 packs of beer out of a kids room and they tell the owner and the owner acts as if he doesnt care. so much for a caring hotel about kids. he rather cover himself instead of the kids.
our overall stay was nice but the owners were completely 2 faced.
also i am studying business law.. upon checkin, we signed all papers and recipits.. we stayed a full 24 hours before the problem had occured and he wanted the deposit.. does sears call u a day after they sold u something and u signed for it and claim they sold it for to little money? i think not!
if the owner reads this, you signed out paper claiming the room was left clean and in perfect condition, if you come back claiming something was wrong, well have fun trying to prove that in court buddy.
