“What storm SANDY destroyed at Seaside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

What a shame to see first hand what the storm SANDY did to Seaside Heights. The destruction to the beach and the boardwalk and the rides and eateries is devastating. All the rides are gone, some of the eateries are gone the boardwalk is being rebuilt and the beach is being redone. Talking with the owners of some of the eateries say that the rides may not come back, the contractors want to charge 3 times the amount to fix things up again. When you look around it looks like an explosion took place. The gas lines that the eateries need is being held up so they are having problems making their foods. The staggering amounts of money it will take to put all this back to order is beyond belief. The eateries say that they are being charged right out of business. What you remember is no longer there. People are coming down their just to take pictures and remember what it was and will it ever be the same. One only hopes.

Thank you for your review. Yes, Seaside Heights boardwalk was terribly devastated by Hurricane Sandy. However we are back open and have been since May. We found back resiliently from the storm and rebuilt!

We still have our upper deck to work on but our Waterpark and Arcade and lower deck are all open. We hope to see you again soon!

“Devestated by Storm”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Spent every summer here as a child and had great memories. The pier was gone and many things were destruyed by Super Storm Sandy. They are working to rebuild, but it was very sad to see an entire boardwalk destroyed.

Thank you for your review. I hope you come to visit back again soon. Our lower deck was finished in July and we are working on our upper deck to make those childhood memories you had come back alive again!

“Unfortunately destroyed now :/”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

As it was not only family orientated destination, it was home to the meat heads of the tri-state area. Sadly, Hurricane Sandy replaced the boardwalk with the beach. Nevertheless, it was as much a part of my childhood and teenage life as was my hometown. RIP (for now!)

“Nice little water park that is a destination -- not an add on!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

After taking the kids to Breakwater Beach for the past few years, I can say that the water park can stand alone as its own destination. In other words, it isn't just an "extra" while spending a week at the beech. For us, it is worth the two hour trip just to go on the slides.

First and foremost, as a parent, the small and enclosed structure gives me a sense of safety for my children. There are plenty of slides, yet they are all so close, which makes not only for less walking, but also for a more secure feeling when trying to keep tabs on multiple kids.

The park is clean. It is a bit pricey, but I like that since the price seems to make it more of a family destination. Plus the price keeps the crowds down.

The slide selection isn't up to par with some of the bigger water parks like Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, but there is certainly enough to keep kids busy all day. Adults will find the options suitable for a couple hours of fun at the very least. There are plenty of chairs for the adults, which I found great since my kids are now at the age when they can run off for a bit on their own.

“been going here for years with the family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

I've been bringing the family here for years and its a great day of fun and relaxation! It's clean and well staffed and there is plenty to do no matter your age or swimming level. The kiddie area is huge with lots of safe places to play and splash and the lazy river (my personal favorite) is a wonderful way to relax and enjoy both the water and the sun. For those with a more adventurous spirit, the slides range from fun to exciting and heart pumping!!! It does get crowded on really hot days so plan on going early to get your choice of lounge chairs. The food is a bit pricy but it's so easy to just walk across the street to the boardwalk and have your choice of food venues, more reasonably priced.
