Time for a burger and this is a good place to go.
yes it is a sports bar and they advertise how many TV screens they have but the food is great. It is family friendly in the restaurant area.
We knew the menu is limited and you come for the burgers. The menu tells you two key points. The first is that the meat comes from Pat Lafreida who is know for meat The second item is that you don't need to tell them how you want it, they are all cooked the same way on the flat top grill and meant to be juicy,
So, I ordered the double bacon double burger and my companion ordered the California burger with a side order of sweet potato fries. Everything is a la carte, the burger is the burger. There are no simple green salads but there are salads with tuna, steak...
The double bacon burger arrived in a reasonable time and was indeed juicy with a nice crust on the meat. The flavor of the meat was indeed rich and distinctively high quality. The cheese and bacon were definitely overshadowed by the beef, The roll is a seasame seed roll that was fine but no competition to the main event. The California burger was equally juicy and crisp with a hint of avocado. The sweet potato fries were great, being of the shoe string type, crisp, not greasy and enough salt. We used the BOOM sauce from the double bacon burger for the potatoes. The Boom sauce is to me like a Russian dressing and was okay on the fries and not worth adding to good meat.
We shared a draft beer which was okay and a Chocolate milk shake that provided my sugar allowance for the week. The shake was creamy smooth and chocoatee but very sweet.
No need for dessert after the calories we ingested.
