“Nice Winery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Located in a peaceful area. We did see a tent out back but weren't sure if it was for a special event or for everyone so we stayed inatde. We don't like having to taste so many wines. I wish the samples were individually priced so 75 cents. There was no place to sit but then maybe their license does not allow seating. We were just raveling through but they have some very nice events coming up.

Thank you for stopping by! I'm sorry to hear that no one told you our outdoor seating is available to all our guests. Our wine tasting fee is currently $5 to taste 7 wines (this varies throughout the year depending on what we have available) but if you only wanted to taste one or two, we would happily do this on the house. Thank you for your review and we hope you will visit us again!

Nice tasting room and variety of wines - mix of dry and sweet. Enjoyed the tasting. Looked like they offered some special events if you are looking for entertainment.

“friendly staff, good wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

my friend and I went on our own little wine trail. and were thrilled to find such a friendly and informative staff.
We had been at a wine tasting event years ago where Hawk Haven took part so we knew that the wines were good. Now we just needed a little reminder of which ones we preferred. and that was definitely fun.

“Beautiful scenery and good wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

We stopped by to taste the wines and I was pleasantly surprised. They had some very nice wines and the staff was very friendly and informative. I was a bit hesitant to purchase any of the limited releases as they were notn available for tasting and were a bit pricey to take a chance on. I did purchase a couple of bottles of the 2 of the wines I was able to taste. I would love to go back down when I had more time to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine with some cheese and crackers in their courtyard. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

“Friday night supper club and Sangria Sunday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Two visits to Hawk Haven over Labor Day weekend and both were awesome. Friday night we attended the Friday night supper club with wine pairing, food was fantastic and the wines were delicious. On Sunday we returned for Sangria Sunday which is a festive afternoon of food, wine, music and fun. can't say enough good things about this little treasure nestled in Rio Grande.
