We stopped in Ridgewood on our way to visit my husband's parents to have brunch with a couple friend of ours. They recommended we eat at Raymond's because it's one of their favorite places, so we obliged. The decor inside is interesting, old fountain bottles line the walls, and it is beautifully done. The service was a bit spotty. I ordered the vegetarian chili and asked for no cheese or sour cream, and the soup came piled high with both. The chili was okay, but I would probably stick to normal breakfast items if ever going back. Didn't blow me away. The sound proofing in the place is awful, it was like we were in a concert arena. Tables are quite close together too, hard to get out to go to the bathroom without knocking your neighbors coffee cup off their table.
