Hadn't been to Kinchley's in over 1.5 years, but we were craving thin crust pizza but wanted to eat at home. Ordered 2 pasta dishes [spaghetti & meat balls (2) & penne (which they disregarded & gave us linguine) with broccoli & garlic), plain cheese pizza & veal parmigiano with linguine, sauce on the side. I made an extra effort to state that we wanted crispy pizza crust and very al dente pasta. Most came with a very plain salad. Picked it up, brought it home, and what a huge disappointment. The pasta was mushy, tasteless and yuck. The sauce seemed to have no flavor at all. My meatballs were ok, but surrounded by too much tasteless, non seasoned sauce and mushy tasteless pasta. The broccoli dish was so bad that I took pity on my nephew & broke out the pots & whipped up real penne (not linguine), oil, garlic & broccolini (that's what we all ate) with shaved parm, I should have done this in the first place, but we were tired. My husband's veal parm was tough, grizzly and tasteless and again surrounded by very overcooked tasteless pasta. Then for the crowning let down, the pizza. Where was the melting cheese, the sweet & savory sauce, the crisp crust? Alas, they are no more at Kinchley's at least not in takeaway. Note: I live 5 minutes from Kinchley's and we had to wait 5 minutes for them to finish the dishes. All of this cost over $60, we could have had a much better pizza at Costco. Maybe this is why most of the diners order pitchers of beer so as to avoid tasting disappointment.
